Rubbermaid Roughneck step stool - Bisque lightweight 300 lb capacity, skid-resistant compact design

The Rubbermaid Roughneck Bisque step stool is a lightweight, durable plastic stool that supports up to 300 pounds and provides a skid-resistant platform for reaching higher shelves in kitchens, bathrooms, and around the home.

This compact step stool combines strength and portability so you can keep it close at hand for everyday tasks. Molded from resilient plastic, the Roughneck design balances a low weight for easy carrying with engineering that supports robust loads. Its neutral bisque finish blends with many room decors, and built-in non-slip textures and feet prioritize safety on tile, vinyl, or wood floors. Made in the USA, it tucks neatly into closets or under counters when not in use.

How stable is this step stool when I stand on it?

The Roughneck stool is engineered for stability with a broad base, textured standing surface, and four skid-resistant feet to help prevent slips. The balance of a wide footprint and low center of gravity reduces wobble during routine tasks.

• Holds up to 300 pounds of distributed weight
• Textured top surface increases grip underfoot
• Four rubberized or skid pads resist sliding on smooth floors
• Low profile design lowers tipping risk compared to taller stools

Is it easy to move and store around the house?

Yes — the stool’s lightweight construction makes it simple to carry from room to room and stow away when not needed. Its compact shape slides into narrow spots, and the molded contours offer convenient handholds for lifting.

• Lightweight plastic lets almost anyone lift it with one hand
• Slim profile fits under counters or behind doors for tidy storage
• Molded grip areas make transport quick and secure
• Durable finish resists scuffs from regular handling

Where in my home will this stool be most useful?

This versatile stool is ideal for kitchens and bathrooms but also works well in garages, laundry rooms, or bedrooms. Use it to reach high shelves, change light bulbs, or assist children and shorter adults with everyday tasks.

• Kitchen: reach cabinets, top shelves, or small appliances
• Bathroom: access linen shelves or assist with grooming stations
• Utility areas: step up for storage bins or toolbox reach
• Anywhere you need a lightweight, portable boost of height

What maintenance and care does it require?

Maintenance is minimal — routine wiping with a damp cloth keeps the stool clean and inspecting feet periodically ensures skid pads remain effective. Avoid using it on uneven surfaces or leaning it against sharp edges to prolong life.

• Wipe with mild soap and water for surface cleaning
• Check skid pads occasionally for wear and replace if needed
• Store away from direct heat or prolonged sun exposure
• Do not use on unstable or sloped surfaces
