Rubbermaid Premier Series III Step-On Trash Can, 12.4 Gal Charcoal — Soft‑Close Lid & LinerLock

The Rubbermaid Premier Series III Step-On trash can is a 12.4‑gallon, hands‑free kitchen bin with a fingerprint‑resistant charcoal stainless‑steel rim, soft‑close lid, and integrated liner lock for a tidy, stable waste solution.

This modern step trash can pairs refined styling with practical engineering to keep your kitchen, apartment, garage, or office looking neat while simplifying waste disposal. Built with a durable foot pedal, soft‑close mechanism and a concealed metal rim that secures liners, it emphasizes easy maintenance and a premium look without the constant smudges common to ordinary steel finishes.

How does this trash can make daily use easier?

The wide stainless‑steel foot pedal provides reliable, hands‑free access so you can open the lid while carrying items or when your hands are messy. The soft‑close hinge gently lowers the lid to reduce noise and avoid slamming, while interior venting channels let you remove heavy bags without suction or strain.

• Large, durable foot pedal for stable, long‑lasting operation
• Slow‑close lid minimizes noise and abrupt movement
• Vent channels simplify removing heavy, full liners

Will the liner stay hidden and secure during use?

Yes — the integrated LinerLock system tucks bags beneath the stainless‑steel rim so liners remain out of sight and firmly anchored. That keeps the exterior neat and prevents bags from slipping when you deposit or lift waste, preserving the can's clean profile.

• Concealed metal rim hides bag edges for a sleek appearance
• LinerLock secures bags to prevent slipping and bunching
• Compatible with standard 12.4‑gallon liners for easy replacement

How durable and stable is the design for active households?

Crafted with high‑quality components and thoughtful geometry, the Premier Series III resists tipping and wears well in busy environments. The flared anti‑slide base increases contact with the floor while protecting surrounding surfaces from scuffs and movement during use.

• Flared base increases stability on different floor types
• Fingerprint‑resistant stainless finish keeps the look fresh
• Engineered materials and construction for long service life

Does it offer features for safety or extended tasks?

The lid lock lets you hold the lid open when you need both hands for a project or to keep curious pets away from the opening. This discreet lock adds convenience during cleanups, meal prep, or when working on crafts or repairs.

• Simple lid lock keeps the lid open for prolonged tasks
• Lock can also secure the lid closed to limit pet access
• Quiet operation reduces disturbance in shared spaces

Who is this for: homeowners, renters, or office managers who want a mid‑sized, stylish waste container that blends with contemporary appliances while offering reliable, hands‑free performance. It suits kitchens, small apartment layouts, garages, and office break rooms where appearance and function both matter.
