Rubbermaid Hip-Hugger Laundry Basket — Large 1.5-Bushel White, Stackable with 3 Grab-Through Handles

Rubbermaid's Large Hip-Hugger Laundry Basket is a lightweight, 1.5-bushel plastic hamper with a curved shape and three grab-through handles designed for comfortable one-handed carrying and snag-free clothes hauling.

This durable, white Rubbermaid hip-hugger combines practical size with an ergonomic silhouette so you can transport laundry from bedroom to washer without awkward balancing. The smooth, solid plastic finish resists snags on delicates, and the molded design nests for compact storage when not in use. Made in the USA, this model fits dorms, apartments, bathrooms, and closets where a sleek, functional carry basket is needed.

How does the curved 'hip-hugger' shape make laundry easier?

The curved profile is shaped to rest against your hip so you can support the basket with one arm while freeing a hand for doors or other tasks. This reduces strain and keeps the load close to your center of gravity for more stable carrying. The low front and taller back make loading and unloading garments quicker.

• Curved rim sits comfortably on hip for single-arm carrying
• Low-front design simplifies placing clothes into washer or shelf
• Balanced form reduces tipping when walking stairs or tight spaces

What makes the handles and finish practical for everyday use?

Three grab-through handles give multiple grip options whether you lift with two hands or carry one-handed. The molded plastic handles are integrated into the basket for strength and won’t pull away like attached straps. A smooth, snag-resistant surface helps protect delicate fabrics when loading and unloading laundry.

• Three sturdy molded handles for versatile lifting positions
• Integral handle construction improves long-term durability
• Slick finish prevents fabric snags and eases cleaning of spills

Will this basket fit in tight spaces and store easily?

At 17.75" long, 9.38" wide, and 25.75" high, this 1.5-bushel basket is tall and narrow compared with many traditional tubs, letting it fit between washers, beside dressers, or in narrow closet corners. When not in use, multiple units stack or nest to conserve floor and shelf space. The slim footprint makes it ideal for small living spaces like dorm rooms and apartments.

• Compact dimensions for slim gaps and narrow laundry rooms
• Stackable/nestable design for efficient storage of multiple baskets
• Lightweight plastic makes shifting or rearranging simple

Is the Rubbermaid hip-hugger durable and easy to maintain?

The basket is constructed from molded plastic that resists dents, chips, and moisture, giving reliable service through frequent use. Its seamless interior wipes clean with soap and water, and the solid sides prevent snagging or stretching of delicate garments. Assembled in the USA, it meets expectations for everyday household durability.

• Sturdy molded construction stands up to regular loads
• Solid, smooth surfaces wipe clean of spills and lint
• Designed to protect delicate items from catching or tearing
