Rubbermaid Commercial Products Safti-Grip Bath Mat — Large 28" x 16", White, Suction-Backed Non-Slip, Mildew-Resistant

Rubbermaid Commercial Safti-Grip is a 28" x 16" suction-backed bath mat that creates a textured, mildew-resistant non-slip surface for tubs, showers and wet areas.

This large white Safti-Grip mat from Rubbermaid Commercial Products is built for high-traffic commercial settings and busy households that need a reliable anti-slip surface. Made from durable rubber with a grid of suction cups and a textured top, the mat adheres to tub and stall floors to reduce sliding while allowing water to drain. Its sloped edges limit water pooling, and the mildew-resistant formulation helps maintain a clean appearance between cleanings.

How does this mat improve safety in showers and tubs?

The Safti-Grip mat increases traction underfoot to help prevent slips on wet porcelain, tile or fiberglass. Suction cups on the underside anchor the mat to the surface so it won’t shift during use, and the textured top provides extra grip for wet feet. It’s a straightforward addition to reduce movement without adhesives or permanent installation.

• 28" x 16" size covers the majority of standard tubs and stalls
• Multiple underside suction cups for firm hold on smooth surfaces
• Raised texture gives better contact for wet skin
• Sloped edges reduce the chance of catching or tripping

Will this mat stay sanitary and resist mildew?

This model is formulated to be mildew-resistant, making it suitable for environments where repeated moisture exposure is common. Regular rinsing and periodic cleaning will keep the mat looking fresh and minimize residue buildup. For commercial spaces, routine cleaning schedules will maintain both appearance and hygiene.

• Mildew-resistant rubber helps deter fungal growth
• Open pattern and sloped edges promote water runoff
• Easy to lift and rinse or wash with mild detergent
• Non-porous rubber surface reduces dirt trapping

How do I install, remove, and care for the Safti-Grip mat?

Placement is simple: lay the mat flat in the tub or shower and press down to engage the suction cups. To remove, lift at an edge to break the suction; the mat can then be rinsed, air-dried, or machine-washed if needed. Avoid harsh solvents or bleach to preserve rubber flexibility and mildew resistance.

• Press firmly to seat suction cups on a clean, wet surface
• Lift an edge to release suction for effortless removal
• Rinse with warm water and mild soap; air dry fully before reuse
• Avoid abrasive cleaners or prolonged direct sunlight storage

Can this mat be used beyond tubs and showers?

Yes — the mat’s anti-slip properties and water-shedding design make it useful in other damp locations like indoor pool decks, changing rooms, or entryways prone to water. Its durable rubber construction tolerates frequent use and wet conditions typical in hospitality and residential settings. Keep in mind that suction performance depends on the smoothness of the underlying surface.

• Suitable for shower stalls, bathtubs, indoor pool edges, and wet-floor areas
• Works best on smooth, non-porous flooring surfaces
• Durable enough for repeated commercial use
• Compact size stores easily when not in use

It’s ideal where durability, easy maintenance and dependable suction are required, offering a practical safety upgrade without remodeling.
