The Robinair 34724 spin-on A/C recycling filter-drier is a genuine replacement part that fits select Robinair refrigerant recovery, recycle and recharge (RRR) units to remove moisture and acids for reliable equipment performance.

When you service automotive or HVAC-R systems with Robinair RRR machines, using a filter-drier designed and validated by the manufacturer helps preserve the machine and keep recoveries clean. The 34724 spin-on cartridge installs quickly, uses specially blended desiccant and chemical media, and includes the activation code required to enable operation in compatible Robinair models. It’s sold individually and engineered to match original-equipment fit, form, and function so cartridge swaps are straightforward.

Which machines will this filter-drier work with?

This spin-on filter-drier is built for a range of Robinair recovery, recycle and recharge units and is also compatible with many OEM-equivalent RRR carts. Check your model number against the compatibility list before purchasing to confirm fit and activation requirements.

• Compatible with Robinair models such as 17700A, 17700-2K, 34288, 34700 series, 34800 series, 34900 series, and select 34288NI/34788NI/34988NI units
• Works with AC1234-4, AC1234-6 and AC1234-9 refrigerant-capable machines
• May also fit similar OEM RRR machines—verify dimensions and activation needs

How does installation and activation work?

Design-matched threads and seals let the 34724 spin on quickly by hand or with basic tools; the included activation code unlocks the unit in compatible Robinair machines so the device recognizes the new cartridge. Installation is intended to be quick to minimize downtime during routine maintenance.

• Sold as a single cartridge—remove old unit, thread new filter-drier into place
• Enter the included activation code into the RRR machine to enable use
• OE-style fit and seals to reduce leak points and ensure a snug replacement

What protection does the filter-drier provide for my RRR cart and service jobs?

This Robinair cartridge combines desiccant and neutralizing media to capture moisture and reduce acids in recovered refrigerant, helping to protect internal valves, sensors and compressors in both the RRR cart and the vehicle/system you service. Proper filtration reduces contaminants that accelerate wear or create performance issues for refrigerant-handling equipment.

• Desiccant absorbs moisture to prevent internal corrosion and ice formation
• Chemical media helps neutralize acids produced by degraded refrigerant or oil breakdown
• Maintains cleaner recovered refrigerant for improved recycling and recharge cycles

When should I replace the filter-drier?

Replace the cartridge according to the maintenance interval recommended in your Robinair service manual, after heavy contamination events, or if the machine indicates a service alert. Regular replacements ensure consistent recovery, recycling, and recharge performance and extend the life of your RRR equipment.

• Replace per scheduled preventive maintenance or when machine diagnostics recommend it
• Swap immediately following contamination incidents or oil breakdowns
• Using genuine Robinair parts helps preserve warranty alignment and verified performance
