ROBERTS 12" Carpet Rake and Groomer — 51" Handle, 12" Nylon-Bristle Head for Cut-Pile Carpets

The ROBERTS 12" Carpet Rake and Groomer is a manual grooming tool designed to lift, loosen and restore cut-pile carpets quickly with its wide nylon-bristle head and extra-long 51" handle.

When you want a simple, chemical-free way to revive cut pile carpet appearance between deep cleanings, this groomer gives fast, visible results. Its 12-inch polypropylene head and firm nylon bristles reach down into pile to dislodge hair, dirt and flattened fibers so your vacuum can remove them more effectively. The three-piece 51" cold-rolled steel handle makes it easy to reach under furniture and into corners, and the handle disassembles for compact storage.

How does this groomer improve carpet cleaning results?

By agitating and lifting soil and fibers before vacuuming, the rake exposes trapped debris so the vacuum can pick it up rather than just running over the surface. It also resurfaces flattened pile to reduce visible vacuum tracks and restore texture.

• Firm nylon bristles sweep through cut pile to loosen embedded hair and grit
• 12" head covers more area for faster pre-vacuum grooming
• Reduces matting and visible tracks for a more even appearance

Will this tool work on all carpet types?

This rake is specifically made for cut-pile carpets and performs best on that construction. It is not recommended for loop-pile or Berber-style carpets because the bristles can catch and distort looped fibers.

• Ideal for cut-pile, plush, Saxony and similar carpets
• Not recommended for looped or tightly woven loop-pile carpets
• Test a hidden area if you are unsure of pile type

How easy is it to use, store and maintain?

Operation is straightforward: groom in rows, then vacuum. The three-piece cold-rolled steel handle disassembles for compact storage and the polypropylene head resists moisture and wear. There are no batteries or power cords to manage.

• Three-piece handle breaks down for storage in closets or under beds
• Durable polypropylene head and nylon bristles require minimal upkeep
• Lightweight design reduces fatigue during larger grooming tasks

What specific areas or tasks is this carpet rake best for?

Use it for quick maintenance between deep cleans, to prepare high-traffic areas for vacuuming, and to revive carpet after furniture has been moved. Its length makes reaching under sofas and beds simple without kneeling.

• Grooms stairs, hallways and living rooms to reduce embedded dirt
• Helps remove pet hair and loosen debris before vacuuming
• Re-fluffs pile flattened by furniture or heavy foot traffic
