RETRUE 2-Inch Trailer Hitch Ball Mount 2" Drop — 7,500 lb Capacity, Anti-Theft, Black Powder Coat

RETRUE 2-Inch Trailer Hitch Ball Mount is a heavy-duty, anti-theft tow ball mount rated for up to 7,500 lbs and built for standard 2" hitch receivers.

This ball mount combines a common 2" receiver fit with reinforced construction and theft-resistant features so you can tow confidently. Finished with a corrosion-resistant black powder coat and a polished chrome ball, it balances long-lasting protection with a clean appearance. The unit’s 2" drop keeps trailers level for safer handling, and the design aims to make installation quick for DIY users.

How much weight can this hitch handle?

The RETRUE ball mount is rated to tow up to 7,500 pounds gross trailer weight when used within the towing vehicle and trailer specifications. Always confirm your vehicle’s tongue weight and hitch class to stay within safe limits.

• 7,500 lb gross trailer weight rating
• Designed for common medium- to heavy-duty towing tasks
• Compatible with Class III 2" receiver systems

What anti-theft features does the mount include?

This mount incorporates a secure locking arrangement that resists unauthorized removal while still allowing owners to remove the mount when needed. The design reduces the risk of drive-away theft and theft of the tow accessory itself.

• Integrated anti-theft geometry to deter tampering
• Works with the supplied hitch pin clip and locking hardware options
• Reduces likelihood of quick-disconnect theft attempts

How easy is installation and removal?

Installation is straightforward and typically takes about ten minutes with basic tools. Slide the shank into a 2" receiver, align the pin holes, insert the included hitch pin clip (or optional lock), and secure the setup; removal reverses those steps.

• Fits standard 2" x 2" receiver openings
• Supplied pin clip for fast assembly and removal
• No specialized tools required for routine installation

What protects this mount from corrosion and wear?

The mount uses a durable black powder coat on the shank and a high-gloss chrome finish on the ball to resist rust and wear from road exposure. These finishes help maintain appearance while minimizing surface degradation in varied weather.

• Black powder-coated shank for chip and rust resistance
• Polished chrome tow ball for smooth hitching and corrosion protection
• Finishes designed for long-term outdoor use with routine care
