Ranger Ready Repellents Picaridin Insect Repellent Spray — Scent Zero 8 oz, 20% Picaridin, DEET-free, Long-Lasting Protection

Ranger Ready Picaridin 20% Scent Zero is an unscented, DEET-free insect repellent spray formulated to protect skin from mosquitoes and ticks during outdoor activities.

Whether you're hiking, camping, gardening, or supervising kids at play, this 8 oz. pump spray offers a practical, quick-drying barrier against biting insects without the smell of traditional repellents. It uses 20% picaridin—a synthetic compound modeled after a natural plant extract—to discourage mosquitoes, ticks, gnats, flies, chiggers, no-see-ums and fleas. The Scent Zero version removes added fragrances so you can stay insect-free without masking natural outdoor aromas.

How long does protection last with Ranger Ready Picaridin?

Protection time varies by pest, activity level, and how much you sweat, but this formula is designed for extended wear. Expect up to 12 hours of protection against many ticks and mosquitoes and shorter durations against smaller biting pests.

• Up to 12 hours for many tick and mosquito species
• About 8 hours against gnats, flies, chiggers, no-see-ums and fleas
• Single 8 oz bottle yields roughly 70 full-body applications

Is this spray safe for the whole family and sensitive skin?

Ranger Ready’s picaridin spray is formulated without DEET and without added fragrances, reducing irritation risks for many users. It’s non-greasy and quick-drying, making it suitable for adults and children when used as directed; consult product guidance for very young children or special medical concerns.

• DEET-free alternative using 20% picaridin
• Unscented Scent Zero option avoids added perfumes
• Quick-dry, non-greasy texture that won't feel heavy on skin

Will this repellent affect clothing, gear, or outdoor equipment?

The formula was designed to minimize damage to fabrics and outdoor gear. Because it dries quickly and is non-oily, it won’t typically leave greasy residues or harm backpacks, tents, or performance fabrics when allowed to dry before contact.

• Quick-dry finish reduces transfer to fabric
• Formulation avoids oily residues on gear and clothing
• Apply and let dry before putting on synthetic or treated garments

How do I use the 360-degree spray effectively outdoors?

The bottle’s 360-degree spray head makes it simple to cover body and clothing evenly, even when reaching awkward angles. Apply outdoors in a well-ventilated space, spray at about 6–8 inches from skin or clothing, and rub in any missed spots.

• Shake before use and spray from 6–8 inches away
• Apply evenly to exposed skin and outer clothing layers
• Avoid eyes and mouth; follow reapplication directions on the label

Who this is for: Outdoor enthusiasts, parents, and workers who want a DEET-free, unscented repellent that dries quickly and lasts through long days outside. It’s a practical choice for backpackers, campers, landscapers, and anyone who prefers minimal fragrance while needing reliable protection from common biting insects.
