Rain Bird 4-Inch Pop-Up Sprinkler Head 1804VAN — 0–360° Variable-Arc, 15 ft Radius

Rain Bird 1804VAN is a 4-inch pop-up sprinkler head from the 1800 Series that delivers adjustable 0–360° fixed spray coverage up to 15 feet for precise residential and professional irrigation.

The 1804VAN 1800 Series Professional pop-up combines a compact 4-inch riser with a variable-arc nozzle, corrosion-resistant construction, and a pressure-activated wiper seal to limit leaks. Built in the USA and designed for matched precipitation, this head is meant to integrate seamlessly into lawn and landscape zones where reliable, tool-free arc adjustment and consistent spray patterning matter.

How does the variable arc nozzle make watering easier?

The adjustable nozzle lets you set the arc anywhere from 0 to 360 degrees without tools, so you can quickly tailor coverage for narrow edges, bed lines, and full-circle turf areas. A textured collar gives positive grip for fast manual changes, reducing runoff and overspray onto sidewalks or driveways.

• 0–360° adjustable arc for custom coverage
• Textured adjustment collar for easy manual control
• Prevents overspray onto hard surfaces
• Fine-tune corners and irregular areas without nozzle swaps

What performance can I expect from the 4-inch pop-up head?

The 1804VAN is optimized to deliver even spray distribution up to about 15 feet with matched precipitation across heads in the same zone. This helps maintain uniform soil moisture and simplifies zone design when paired with other Rain Bird 1800 Series components.

• Spray radius up to 15 feet depending on pressure
• Matched precipitation when used with similar nozzles
• Fixed spray pattern for predictable coverage
• Reliable arc retention once adjusted

How durable is the sprinkler for long-term outdoor use?

The body uses UV- and weather-resistant materials with a heavy-duty stainless-steel spring that ensures the pop-up retracts fully after each cycle. A patented pressure-activated wiper seal reduces leakage, and the robust construction supports frequent operation in both residential and professional installations.

• UV-resistant plastic body for sun exposure durability
• Stainless-steel spring for consistent retraction
• Pressure-activated wiper seal to minimize drips
• Built to integrate in professional-grade systems

Can this head be installed and serviced easily?

The unit features a 1/2-inch female threaded inlet for straightforward connection to standard fittings and lateral lines. Tool-free arc adjustments and a compact 4" pop-up height simplify installation and routine checks, while compatibility with Rain Bird 1800 Series parts streamlines replacement and upgrades.
