Purina Pro Plan Small Breed High Protein Shredded Blend Lamb & Rice is a dry adult dog food formulated with real lamb as the first ingredient, bite-sized kibble plus tender shredded pieces, and guaranteed live probiotics for active small dogs under 20 lb.

This formula is designed to give small-breed adults concentrated nutrition in a texture small mouths can enjoy. With lamb as the top ingredient and a higher protein level to support energetic lifestyles, the recipe blends crunchy kibble and soft shredded morsels for palatable variety. Built for digestibility, it also contains live probiotics and essential minerals to help maintain bone strength and nutrient absorption without artificial colors or flavors.

How does this food support small-breed energy and muscle needs?

The formula emphasizes high-quality protein from real lamb to help maintain lean muscle mass in active small breeds. Its nutrient profile is concentrated so smaller portions deliver the fuel these little dogs require throughout the day.

• Real lamb listed as the first ingredient for animal-based protein.
• Higher protein content tailored for energetic, small-bodied dogs.
• Concentrated calories designed for smaller serving sizes.

Will my small dog find the texture and size manageable?

Kibble pieces are reduced in size to fit smaller mouths, and the added shredded blend creates a softer, appealing texture that many dogs prefer. This combination helps make each meal easy to chew while offering variety to reduce mealtime boredom.

• Bite-sized crunchy kibble for easy chewing.
• Tender shredded pieces mixed in for a palatable contrast.
• Designed specifically for adult dogs under 20 pounds.

How does the recipe support digestion and overall wellness?

Live probiotics are included to help maintain a balanced gut environment and support nutrient absorption. The formula also supplies calcium, phosphorus, and other minerals to reinforce healthy bones and teeth—important for active small breeds.

• Guaranteed live probiotics to support digestive and immune health.
• Added minerals like calcium and phosphorus for bone and dental support.
• No artificial colors or flavors to align with cleaner ingredient preferences.

What practical benefits should I expect day to day?

Expect a formula that’s easy to portion, palatable, and geared toward sustained activity in small dogs. Owners often notice improved meal enthusiasm thanks to the shredded blend and consistent stool quality when transitioning to a digestible, probiotic-fortified diet.

• Smaller bag size (6 lb) for convenient storage and freshness.
• Texture variety can increase mealtime interest and acceptance.
• Formulation supports daily activity and nutrient uptake.
