How will this blanket perform on kitchen grease and liquid fires?

The Prepared Hero blanket is made to smother flames caused by cooking oils and other liquid fuels by isolating the fire from oxygen. Because it’s non-chemical, it leaves no residue and reduces the risk of splash or spread compared with using water on grease fires.

• Designed specifically to extinguish small grease and liquid fires safely.
• Non-chemical suppression avoids corrosive or messy residues.
• Compact size quickly covers most stovetop and countertop incidents.

What materials and certifications back its heat resistance?

Each blanket consists of two woven fiberglass fabric layers plus an inner fire-retardant film that resists high temperatures. The construction conforms to CE standard EN 1896:1997, and the material can tolerate temperatures up to 1022°F (550°C), making it useful as both a fire suppressant and a temporary thermal shield.

• Two-layer woven fiberglass outer structure for tear resistance.
• Inner fire-retardant film provides additional heat isolation.
• CE EN 1896:1997 compliance for standardized safety performance.

How should I use and store the Prepared Hero blanket safely?

To use, carefully remove the blanket from its pouch, protect your hands by rolling or holding the edge, and lay it gently over small flames to cut off oxygen. After use, allow the blanket to cool fully before disposal or storage; damaged blankets should be replaced rather than reused.

• Keep in an accessible location near cooking areas and vehicles.
• Place blanket over flames—do not throw—until the fire is extinguished.
• Replace any blanket that has been exposed to sustained flames or large damage.

What sizes and quantities does this pack include and where does it belong?

This product comes as a two-pack of 39 x 39 inch blankets, a versatile size for most household and outdoor needs. The compact pouches make them easy to store in kitchen drawers, utility closets, glove boxes or alongside a grill for quick access.

• Two blankets per package for multiple locations or backups.
• 39 x 39 inches gives broad coverage for stovetops and small appliances.
• Small, lightweight pouches fit in common household and vehicle spaces.

Who is this for: Prepared Hero Emergency Fire Blankets are intended for homeowners, renters, grillers, RV and boat owners, and anyone who wants a compact, non-chemical option to smother small fires quickly. They are especially useful where using water is unsafe—such as grease fires—or when a temporary heat shield is needed during brief exposure to hot surfaces. Keep in mind these blankets are for small-scale incidents and immediate response; larger fires require professional firefighting services and evacuation.
