Prepared Hero Emergency Fire Blanket 39 x 39 in, flame-retardant reusable 1-pack

The Prepared Hero Emergency Fire Blanket is a compact 39 x 39 inch, flame-retardant fiberglass blanket designed to smother small kitchen and household fires and act as a temporary heat shield.

Keep one within reach in the kitchen, garage, or car: this lightweight, reusable fire blanket is made from two layers of woven fiberglass and a fire-retardant inner film that meets CE standard EN 1896:1997. Sized at 39 x 39 inches, it’s large enough to cover pans, small appliances, and use as a protective barrier while you evacuate. The blanket isolates temperatures up to 1022°F (550°C), offering an immediate, chemical-free way to extinguish or control certain types of flames without leaving residue.

How does this blanket put out grease and liquid fires?

By cutting off oxygen, the Prepared Hero blanket deprives a small flame of the air it needs to continue burning. It’s most effective on contained fires like frying-pan or countertop oil fires where water would spread the blaze.

• Smothers flames by creating an airtight cover
• Suitable for grease, oil, and small electrical fires
• Works without using powder, foam, or chemicals

Is this fire blanket durable and safe to store in my home or vehicle?

Yes — constructed from two woven fiberglass layers with an inner fire-retardant film, the blanket conforms to CE EN 1896:1997 safety guidelines and resists high heat up to 1022°F (550°C). Stored folded in its pouch, it stays compact and ready for quick access.

• Two-layer fiberglass weave for strength and heat resistance
• Inner fire-retardant film helps contain flames and radiant heat
• Compact pouch for easy storage in kitchens, cars, or emergency kits

How do I use the Prepared Hero blanket safely?

Unfold the blanket, protect your hands by holding the edges, and carefully place it over the fire to smother flames; avoid lifting it until the area has fully cooled. If the fire is too large or spreading, evacuate and call emergency services immediately.

• Pull from pouch and fully open before approaching the fire
• Use edges or a towel to shield your hands while placing the blanket
• Leave covered until cool; do not attempt on large or fast-spreading fires

Can this blanket be reused after it has been used once?

Light, contained fires may allow reuse after inspection for damage; however, if the blanket shows burns, holes, or melted film, replace it. Regularly inspect for wear and keep a replacement on hand as part of your safety plan.

• Inspect for holes, shrinkage, or film damage before reuse
• Replace if any structural compromise is visible
• Store away from moisture and sharp objects to prolong life

Who is this for? Home cooks, apartment dwellers, RV owners, and drivers who want a compact, chemical-free way to control small kitchen and vehicle fires will find this Prepared Hero blanket useful. It’s ideal for households that prefer a fast, residue-free response to grease fires and for anyone building a compact emergency or survival kit. Keep it accessible, know how to use it, and pair it with working smoke alarms and a plan to evacuate if a fire grows beyond the blanket’s capacity.
