Pencil Nose is a fast-paced party board game where players strap a pencil to their nose, draw prompts on a clear screen, and have teammates guess before the timer runs out.
This laugh-out-loud family game from PlayMonster turns ordinary evenings into energetic group play by replacing hands with noses. Players take turns secretly viewing a prompt card, inserting it into the top of the transparent drawing board, then donning a novelty pencil-nose contraption and special glasses to sketch through the clear screen. Teams race to identify as many drawings as possible during each timed round; the first team to reach the target number of points wins.
A player draws a card and slides it into the board so only they see the word or image. Wearing the included glasses and the pencil-nose attachment, they draw with the pencil using only head and nose movements while teammates shout guesses. Correct answers let the team draw another card—rounds continue until the sand timer runs out.
The box contains the clear drawing board, prompt cards, a nose-mounted pencil holder, novelty glasses, a sand timer, scoring pads, and instructions. Setup is minimal—slide batteries or tools are not required—so groups can start playing in just a few minutes. Rules are straightforward, making it accessible for older children, teens, and adults.
Pencil Nose is engineered for social play: teams of four or more can easily join, and the humor of nose-drawing appeals across generations. Because the prompts vary in difficulty, groups can tailor guessing expectations and play competitively or casually. It’s well suited for parties, family nights, classrooms, and icebreakers.
The unusual drawing method forces players to simplify shapes and rely on teammates’ interpretation skills. Quick guessing rewards clear, rapid sketches and helps groups practice concise verbal clues without direct hints. The result is a playful mix of art, deduction, and shared laughter that strengthens team dynamics.
Who is this for? PlayMonster’s Pencil Nose is aimed at families, party hosts, and groups of friends who want a physical, humorous icebreaker that’s simple to learn but hard to resist. It’s especially good for households with school-age children, group events, or anyone looking to add playful competition to game night without complex rules or lengthy setup.
Q: How many players can join Pencil Nose?
A: Designed for teams, Pencil Nose works best with four or more players but can be adapted for smaller groups.
Q: What ages can play this game safely?
A: PlayMonster recommends Pencil Nose for ages 8 and up due to small parts and the coordination required.
