Platypus Orthodontic Flossers for Braces — 120-Count (4×30) Single-Use Sticks, Under-Arch-Wire Design

Platypus Orthodontic Flossers are a handheld, under-arch-wire flosser designed to clean between teeth and around braces quickly and safely.

Keeping braces clean is harder than ordinary flossing, so Platypus created a one-piece flosser that slips beneath the arch wire, reaches between teeth, and accesses the gumline without threading or bending wires. These flossers come in convenient single-use sticks and are made in the USA; they aim to make daily interdental cleaning faster, simpler, and less intimidating for children and adults with orthodontic appliances.

How do Platypus flossers work under braces?

The patented shape uses a slim spatula end to glide beneath the arch wire and position the floss segment between teeth without needing to thread floss around brackets. The floss then sweeps along the tooth surface and gumline much like regular floss, while the opposite end serves as a pick to dislodge trapped particles.

• Spatula end designed to slip under arch wires safely
• Pre-mounted floss for one-step cleaning—no threading required
• Pick tip for removing debris around brackets and wires
• Single-use sticks for hygienic on-the-go use

Will these flossers damage wires or brackets?

Platypus flossers are engineered to follow the natural contours of teeth and braces so they avoid snagging or bending orthodontic hardware. The flosser’s form is meant to protect wires and attachments while allowing effective interdental access.

• Patented geometry reduces risk of catching on brackets
• Rounded edges minimize pressure on wires
• Gentle floss tension protects delicate orthodontic components
• Safe for routine daily use as part of an oral hygiene routine

How quickly and easily can I floss with these?

Because there's no need to thread floss under the wire, users typically finish flossing the entire mouth in under two minutes. The stick form is especially useful after meals or when away from home—just position the spatula, move the floss, and repeat between each contact point.

• Simple single-handed technique suitable for kids and adults
• Fast: full-mouth flossing in roughly two minutes
• Portable single-use sticks for school, work, or travel
• Improves routine compliance compared with threading methods
