PLALEI clear license plate covers 2-pack with narrow frames — universal US size, UV- and corrosion-resistant kit

PLALEI 2-pack clear license plate covers and narrow frames protect standard US plates from weather, scratches, and theft while keeping registration and state text visible.

These transparent plate covers come as a complete kit: two clear frames/covers plus screws, nuts, washers, sealing pads and plastic screw caps. Constructed from UV- and corrosion-resistant plastic, the set fits standard U.S. license plates (about 12.2 x 6.3 inches) and is designed to be both protective and low-profile so it won’t hide numbers, state names, or registration stickers. The package supports two mounting styles — full-frame for a finished look or cover-only for a minimal appearance — and installs quickly with basic tools and no drilling required.

Will this PLALEI cover fit my vehicle’s license plate?

Yes. The PLALEI set is built for standard North American plates and works with most passenger cars, trucks, and SUVs. The slim frame avoids obscuring required plate details so it aligns with common road regulation requirements.

• Fits standard US/Canada license plates (~12.2 x 6.3 inches / 31 x 16 cm).
• Narrow frame leaves plate number, state name, and sticker visible.
• Compatible with typical factory mounting points — no special hardware needed.

How durable is the clear plastic against weather and wear?

The PLALEI protector uses a high-grade transparent plastic engineered to resist UV fading, corrosion, rust, and everyday scratches. This helps the plate stay readable and preserves the vehicle’s appearance over time without yellowing or warping under normal outdoor exposure.

• UV-resistant material reduces discoloration from sun exposure.
• Corrosion- and rust-proof construction for wet climates and road salt.
• Scratch-resistant surface minimizes scuffs from car washes and debris.

How simple is installation and what’s included in the kit?

Installation takes only a few minutes and doesn’t require drilling. The kit supplies everything needed for two plates so you can mount both front and rear or keep a spare set in the glovebox.

• Includes 2 clear frames/covers, 8 screws, 8 nuts, 8 washers, 8 screw caps, and 8 sealing pads.
• Two installation options: attach frame plus plate for a finished look or use cover only for a minimalist finish.
• Standard screw sizes work with most factory holes; basic screwdriver and wrench are sufficient.

Will this prevent license plate theft and meet legal visibility rules?

The PLALEI unit adds a physical barrier that makes quick theft attempts harder while ensuring plate characters and registration stickers remain unobscured. It’s designed to maintain clear visibility, but you should always check local laws to confirm compliance in your area.

• Clear shield deters tampering and reduces easy removal of plates.
• Narrow profile keeps letters, numbers, and stickers fully visible.
• Includes screw caps and sealing pads to secure fasteners and discourage tampering.

PLALEI’s two-piece set suits car owners seeking weatherproof, rust-proof protection for both front and rear plates, buyers who prefer a low-profile aesthetic, and gift-givers shopping for practical accessories for car enthusiasts. It’s especially useful for owners in sunny, coastal or snowy regions where UV exposure, salt, and moisture can accelerate wear.
