Petfolio Scat Mat for Cats — 12-Pack 16×13 in Tiles with 1" Rounded Spikes, Linkable & Water-Resistant

Use this lightweight plastic scat mat to protect countertops, potted plants, furniture, gardens and other areas where pets cause damage or make a mess. Each tile measures 16 by 13 inches with one-inch rounded spikes that are uncomfortable but not sharp, creating a clear physical cue pets learn to avoid. The mats are tool-free to install: they can be linked for larger areas, trimmed to fit, and secured with included adhesive strips for indoor or outdoor use.

How does the Petfolio scat mat prevent cats from jumping on counters?

The mat creates an unfamiliar, mildly uncomfortable surface that discourages cats from landing or walking there. Cats prefer stable, soft surfaces; the one-inch spikes disrupt that comfort so they choose a different spot. No electric shocks, chemicals, or loud noises are involved — only texture-based training.

• Rounded 1" spikes provide deterrence without sharp edges
• Plastic construction resists moisture for kitchen use
• Self-adhesive strips keep mats in place on counters
• Connectors allow covering wider surfaces as needed

Can I use the mat outdoors or in wet conditions?

Yes — the Petfolio scat mat is made from durable plastic that tolerates outdoor exposure and damp environments. Because it’s non-absorbent, it won’t rot or degrade quickly like fabric alternatives. Still, securing it properly helps maintain effectiveness during wind or heavy rain.

• Water-resistant plastic stands up to garden and patio use
• Lightweight design makes repositioning simple
• Trim-to-fit edges accommodate planters and raised beds
• Adhesive strips and connectors improve outdoor stability

Will the mat harm my pet or household members?

The Petfolio mat is a non-harmful deterrent created to be uncomfortable rather than injurious. The spikes are rounded and spaced to discourage pawing but not to puncture skin. Always supervise initial placements and keep mats away from children or pets that may chew on plastic.

• Rounded spike tips reduce risk of injury
• Plastic material is free of barbed or sharp edges
• Not a biting-resistant product—monitor chewers
• Safe alternative to sprays, traps, or electric devices

How easy is it to install and customize the training area?

Installation is tool-free and adjustable: tiles can be joined edge-to-edge or cut to match odd shapes. Adhesive strips included with the set hold mats in place on vertical and horizontal surfaces. When you need a larger protected zone, simply link multiple mats together for seamless coverage.

• Snap connectors join mats for expanded coverage
• Scissors or a utility knife can trim mats to fit
• Included stickers secure mats to counters and planters
• Lightweight panels are easy to remove and store
