PetAg KMR Kitten Milk Replacer Powder 12 oz — Prebiotics & Probiotics, Easy Digest

PetAg KMR Kitten Milk Replacer is a scientifically formulated powdered milk substitute designed to meet the nutritional needs of newborn to six-week-old kittens when their mother can’t nurse.

When a kitten is orphaned, separated, or when a mother cat can’t provide enough milk, you need a dependable, complete formula that closely resembles feline maternal milk. PetAg KMR delivers balanced protein, fat, and carbohydrates plus added vitamins, minerals, prebiotics and probiotics to support digestion and immune resilience during the critical early weeks.

How do I prepare and store PetAg KMR for safe feeding?

Mixing KMR is straightforward: combine one part powder with two parts warm water, stir or shake until smooth, and use within 24 hours. Avoid blending; use a whisk or bottle to prevent excess aeration. Refrigerate prepared formula and warm to feeding temperature before offering to the kitten.

• Mix ratio: 1 part KMR powder to 2 parts warm water.
• Do not prepare more than 24 hours’ worth of formula.
• Store mixed formula refrigerated; warm to body temperature before feeding.
• Do not use a blender—whisk or shake to dissolve powder.

What nutritional benefits does KMR provide for newborn kittens?

KMR is formulated to mirror the balance of macronutrients in mother’s milk while supplying essential micronutrients for growth. The product includes added vitamins and minerals plus prebiotics and probiotics to support digestive comfort and nutrient absorption during early development.

• Balanced protein, fat, and carbohydrates similar to maternal milk.
• Vitamins and trace minerals to support growth.
• Prebiotics and probiotics to encourage healthy gut flora.
• Designed for high palatability to encourage feeding in weak kittens.

How often and how much should I feed a kitten with KMR?

Feeding frequency varies by age and weight; newborns typically need small, frequent meals around the clock, while older kittens feed less often. Follow weight-based feeding guides from your veterinarian or the product guidelines, and monitor hydration and weight gain closely to adjust portions.

• Newborns usually require feeding every 2–3 hours, day and night.
• Increase interval and volume gradually as kittens grow toward six weeks.
• Weigh kittens daily to ensure steady weight gain and adjust intake.
• Consult a vet for tailored feeding schedules for premature or weak kittens.

Will KMR help with digestion or sensitive tummies?

PetAg KMR includes a special fiber blend along with prebiotics and probiotics to promote easier digestion and support gut health. While it’s formulated to be gentle and highly palatable, always introduce any milk replacer slowly and watch for signs of intolerance or digestive upset.

• Contains fiber for smoother digestion and stool consistency.
• Prebiotics and probiotics support beneficial intestinal bacteria.
• Highly palatable to encourage feeding in finicky kittens.
• Monitor for diarrhea or vomiting and consult a vet if observed.

Who is this product for? PetAg KMR Kitten Milk Replacer is intended for breeders, rescue organizations, shelters, and pet owners caring for neonatal kittens who cannot nurse or need supplemental feeding. It’s appropriate for healthy newborns through six-week-old kittens that require a balanced, easy-to-digest formula. For kittens with special medical conditions, premature birth, or very low birth weight, seek veterinary guidance to ensure the feeding plan and formula suit those specific needs.
