Pet Honesty Chlorhexidine Dog & Cat Medicated Shampoo 16 oz — Anti-Itch, Ketoconazole Formula for Bacterial & Yeast Relief

Pet Honesty Chlorhexidine Dog Shampoo is a 16 oz veterinary-strength, medicated shampoo that soothes itchy, irritated skin and helps control bacteria and yeast for cleaner, healthier coats.

This chlorhexidine and ketoconazole formula was developed to calm inflamed skin, reduce odor caused by microbial growth, and leave fur shiny without harsh additives. The shampoo is free from sulfates, parabens, phthalates, alcohol, and artificial colors, and it uses aloe and a light cucumber-melon scent to make bath time more tolerable for both dogs and cats.

How does this shampoo relieve itching and skin irritation?

The active ingredients—chlorhexidine and ketoconazole—work together to reduce bacterial and fungal load on the skin, helping to calm inflammation and lessen persistent itching. Aloe and gentle cleansing agents support the skin barrier so the coat looks healthier after regular use.

• Contains chlorhexidine for broad antibacterial action
• Includes ketoconazole to target yeast-related itching and odors
• Aloe soothes and hydrates irritated skin
• No sulfates, parabens, phthalates, alcohol, or artificial colors

How should I use the shampoo for best results?

Wet your pet thoroughly, apply a generous amount of shampoo, and massage into the coat to work the medicated lather to the skin; leave on for several minutes to allow actives to contact the affected areas before rinsing. Use frequency depends on your veterinarian’s guidance and the severity of symptoms.

• Wet fur thoroughly before application
• Work into a rich lather and leave on for recommended contact time
• Rinse completely to remove residue and prevent irritation
• Follow vet instructions for treatment schedule

Is this shampoo safe for all pets, and what precautions should I take?

This product is formulated for both dogs and cats, but pets with known sensitivities should be monitored during initial use. Avoid getting shampoo in the eyes, ears, or mouth, and consult a veterinarian prior to use on young, pregnant, or medically fragile animals.

• Suitable for dogs and cats when used as directed
• Not for internal use—avoid eyes, ears, and mucous membranes
• Patch-test if your pet has a history of skin sensitivity
• Ask your veterinarian about use on puppies, kittens, or pregnant pets

What differences will I notice after using this shampoo regularly?

With routine use and following your vet’s recommendations, you can expect reduced odor from bacterial or fungal activity, fewer flare-ups of itching, and a noticeably cleaner, shinier coat. It’s designed to support healing of hot spots and inflamed areas while minimizing irritation from harsh chemicals.

• Reduced musty or foul odors tied to microbes
• Less frequent scratching and licking in many cases
• Improved coat sheen and manageable fur texture
• Helps assist in healing hot spots and inflamed patches
