Peet's Coffee ground medium roast Big Bang, 63 oz (6 x 10.5 oz) — balanced, citrus notes

Peet's Big Bang is a 100% Arabica medium roast ground coffee blend (six 10.5 oz bags, total 63 oz) delivering a balanced, full-flavored cup with bright Ethiopian citrus notes.

Created to honor Alfred Peet and celebrate Peet’s 50th anniversary, Big Bang combines some of the same premium origins used in Major Dickason’s with an aromatic twist from Ethiopian Super Natural beans. Roasted to a medium body, this ground coffee is intended for drip and pour-over brewing but still offers enough depth and complexity to please fans of richer blends. Packaged as six convenient 10.5-ounce bags, it keeps each portion fresh while giving you a large-stash option for homes or small offices.

What flavor profile should I expect from Big Bang medium roast?

Big Bang balances smooth, chocolatey base notes with a lively, citrus-forward top end from Ethiopian beans. The medium roast preserves nuanced acidity while developing body and subtle sweetness.

• Overall character: balanced and full-flavored
• Taste highlights: cocoa, brown sugar, and bright citrus aromatics
• Body: medium-bodied with clean finish
• Acidity: pleasant, lively but not sharp

How should I brew this ground coffee for best results?

Big Bang ground is pre-ground for convenience and optimized for drip machines and pour-over brewers like the Chemex. For espresso, French press, or cold brew, whole-bean options with a fresh grind are recommended to match those extraction styles.

• Recommended: automatic drip machines and Chemex pour-over
• Not ideal: espresso machines and French press (consider whole beans)
• Grind note: factory-ground medium for consistent extraction in drip brewers
• Serving tip: use filtered water and 1 to 2 tablespoons per 6 ounces of water to taste

How is the coffee sourced and roasted?

Peet’s sources high-quality Arabica coffees and partners on sourcing practices intended to support growing communities and sustainable farming. Each lot is hand-roasted to Peet’s standards, aiming for consistent medium roast development that highlights origin characteristics.

• Beans: 100% Arabica, including Ethiopian Super Natural as a flavor driver
• Roast style: medium roast developed for balanced flavor and aroma
• Impact: Peet’s participates in sourcing programs to improve farmer and community outcomes
