OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Splatter Screen for Pans up to 13" — Foldable Handle, Perforated Venting

The OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Splatter Screen is a perforated, foldable shield that keeps frying splatter contained while fitting pans up to 13 inches.

Whether you're frying bacon, searing sausages, or popping stovetop popcorn, this splatter screen reduces messy oil droplets on burners and counters without trapping steam. Constructed from perforated stainless steel, it resists clogging and discoloration better than fine mesh, and its soft, ergonomic handle locks open for safe use or folds flat for compact storage when the job is done.

How does this splatter screen prevent grease from spreading while cooking?

The screen’s evenly spaced perforations block large oil droplets while allowing steam to escape so food retains texture instead of steaming soggy. The stainless-steel surface wipes clean easily and stands up to heat without burning like thin mesh options.

• Perforated stainless steel lets steam vent and catches splatters.
• Durable material resists clogging and heat discoloration.
• Wide diameter covers pans up to 13 inches for broad coverage.

Will this fit my frying pan and stay secure during cooking?

Yes — concentric grooved rings on the screen align with varying pan rims so it centers reliably on different sizes. The overall diameter accommodates most standard skillets up to 13 inches, and the handle rests over a pan handle for added stability while in use.

• Concentric rings lock the screen into the pan’s center.
• Fits a wide range of pan diameters up to 13 inches.
• Handle design lets the screen rest flush or lock open for stability.

How does the handle design improve safety and storage?

The soft-grip handle locks in the open position to keep hands away from hot edges while cooking, then folds flat to save cabinet space after cooling. Its comfortable texture gives a secure hold even when your hands are wet or greasy.

• Locking mechanism holds the handle open for safe cooking use.
• Folds flat for compact, space-saving storage.
• Soft, ergonomic grip reduces slipping and improves control.

Is the splatter screen easy to clean and maintain?

Yes — stainless-steel construction makes rinsing and scrubbing straightforward, and the piece is dishwasher-safe for quick cleanup. Because it uses perforations rather than fine mesh, food particles are less likely to lodge and burn into the surface.

• Dishwasher-safe for effortless cleaning.
• Perforated design minimizes clogging compared with mesh screens.
• Stainless finish withstands repeated use and high heat.

It appeals to cooks who value durable stainless steel over delicate mesh, need a screen that fits multiple pan sizes, and prefer a user-friendly handle that improves safety and storage.
