OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner — 6.22 qt Vegetable Washer with One-Hand Pump & Instant Brake

OXO Good Grips 6.22 Qt Salad Spinner is a one-handed vegetable washer and dryer that removes excess water quickly using a soft pump, instant brake, and removable basket—ideal for crisp salads and tidy meal prep.

This updated version of OXO’s classic spinner pairs a simple single-press pump with a reliable brake mechanism and a non-skid bowl to make washing and drying leafy greens, herbs, and small produce fast and predictable. The clear bowl and removable basket let you rinse, drain, spin and serve with the same set of parts, and all components are top-rack dishwasher safe for low-effort cleanup.

How does the one-handed pump make salad prep simpler?

Pressing the soft, cushioned knob launches the basket into high-speed rotation using just one hand, so you can hold produce or steady the bowl with the other. The pump is designed to lock down flat for compact storage when not in use.

• Soft, non-slip pump knob for comfortable single-handed operation
• Pump locks down to save cupboard space
• Clear lid for viewing the spin without opening

What stops the basket instantly after spinning?

The spinner includes a built-in brake button that halts the basket the moment you press it, making unloading quick and safe. This feature prevents continue spinning and helps avoid splashes or over-handling of delicate leaves.

• Patented brake provides immediate stop on demand
• Brake is easy to reach and use with one hand
• Reduces moisture carryover for crisper dressings and sandwiches

Can I use the spinner parts separately for rinsing or serving?

Yes — the perforated basket doubles as a colander for rinsing and draining, and the outer bowl functions as a serving or storage bowl. The lid disassembles for thorough cleaning and all pieces are dishwasher safe.

• Basket converts to a colander for rinsing lettuces and herbs
• Bowl serves as a holding or serving container
• Lid detaches to prevent trapped moisture and to simplify cleaning

What are the size and care details I should know?

The spinner holds 6.22 quarts in the outer bowl and about 4.4 quarts in the inner basket; it’s compact enough for countertop use but roomy for family-sized salads. All parts are dishwasher-safe (top rack recommended), and the non-skid base keeps the unit steady during operation.

• Bowl capacity: 6.22 qt (5.9 L); basket capacity: 4.4 qt (4.1 L)
• Non-skid base for stable spinning on counters
• Top-rack dishwasher safe for easy cleanup
