OXO Good Grips produce storage container 1.6 qt — white, activated carbon filter & adjustable vent

OXO Good Grips 1.6‑quart produce storage container with an activated carbon filter and adjustable vent helps extend the life of small fruits and vegetables.

Designed to store a pint of berries, grapes, or other small produce, this compact white container combines an elevated inner basket, a replaceable natural carbon filter, and an adjustable vent to control humidity and airflow. Built for everyday kitchen use, the dishwasher‑safe components and double‑duty basket make rinsing, draining and serving simple while aiming to reduce spoilage and food waste.

How does the carbon filter slow produce aging?

The included activated carbon filter absorbs ethylene gas—one of the natural ripening agents that speeds decay—helping produce stay fresh longer. The filter is made from coconut shell carbon and is designed for periodic replacement to maintain effectiveness.

• All‑natural coconut activated carbon captures ethylene molecules
• Filter life around 90 days under typical household use
• Replaceable design to preserve long‑term performance

What role does the elevated basket and vented lid play?

The raised inner basket lifts fruit off the base so air circulates beneath, preventing moisture buildup that causes rotting. An adjustable top vent lets you tune humidity: open for high‑respiration produce, closed for delicate berries that prefer a steadier environment.

• Elevated basket promotes airflow and reduces sogginess
• Basket doubles as a colander for rinsing and draining
• Sliding vent dial adjusts humidity to suit different produce

Will this container fit in my fridge and is it easy to clean?

At 1.6 quarts (1.5 liters), the container is compact enough for refrigerator shelves, door bins, or countertop storage for frequently used fruit. All removable parts are dishwasher safe, and the basket’s handles make lifting and emptying effortless.

• 1.6 qt capacity holds about a pint of berries or a cluster of grapes
• Low profile fits most fridge shelves and doors
• Dishwasher‑safe components speed cleanup and reuse

How often should I replace the filter and where can I get reminders?

OXO recommends replacing the activated carbon filter approximately every 90 days to keep ethylene absorption effective. OXO offers reminders and filter replacement information through their greensaver resource to help you swap filters on schedule.

• Suggested replacement about every 90 days for typical household use
• Replacement filters available from OXO and authorized retailers
• Sign up for email reminders at greensaver.oxo.com
