OXO Good Grips 4-Cup Fat Separator - Clear Pitcher with Fine Strainer & Stopper, Non-Slip Handle

The OXO Good Grips 4 Cup Fat Separator captures drippings, strains solids, and lets you pour flavorful juices while leaving fat behind.

Designed for home cooks who want cleaner pan sauces, lighter gravies, and less mess, this 4-cup separator combines a fine strainer, a secure stopper, and clear measurement markings in a single dishwasher-safe pitcher. Its raised splatter shield and comfortable non-slip handle reduce spills and make transferring hot liquids safer. Built-in stopper storage in the strainer keeps parts together so you won’t misplace the plug when you reach for it during cooking.

How does this separator keep fat out of my gravy?

The separator uses a stopper in the spout that prevents fat from flowing out first. After you pour drippings in and wait a moment, fat rises to the surface while the savory juices sink; removing the stopper dispenses the liquid beneath the fat layer first so you can leave the grease behind.

• Stopper blocks the spout to trap top-layer fat until you’re ready to pour.
• Transparent pitcher shows fat separation so you know when to pour.
• 4-cup capacity suits family recipes and larger roasting pans.

Will it stop solids like herbs or roast bits from ending up in my sauce?

Yes — a built-in fine strainer catches small bits of cooked food while allowing liquid to pass through. The strainer sits inside the pitcher and collects debris so your sauces are smooth without extra skimming.

• Integrated strainer captures herbs, bits, and charred pieces.
• Removable strainer makes it easy to empty and clean.
• Strainer also stores the stopper to keep everything together.

How does the design reduce spills and make pouring safer?

The separator features a raised splatter shield and an ergonomic, non-slip handle to control flow and prevent splashing when you transfer hot liquids. Measurement markings on the side help you follow recipes without extra tools, and the wide base adds stability on countertops.

• Raised shield minimizes splashing when you pour from full pitchers.
• Soft, non-slip handle provides a secure grip even with wet hands.
• Clear measurement markings (cups and ounces) simplify recipe accuracy.

How do I clean and store the separator?

The entire unit is dishwasher safe for quick cleanup, and the strainer has a built-in slot to keep the stopper tucked away so it won’t get lost between uses. Because parts nest together, storing the separator takes minimal cabinet space.

• Dishwasher-safe pitcher and strainer for convenient cleaning.
• Stopper stores inside the strainer to avoid misplacement.
• Compact nesting design fits easily in kitchen cabinets.
