OXO Good Grips 12-inch Stainless Steel Locking Tongs — Non-Slip Ergonomic Handles, Dishwasher Safe

OXO Good Grips 12-inch stainless steel locking tongs are sturdy, non-slip kitchen tongs designed for flipping, tossing, and serving with a simple locking mechanism for compact storage.

These 12-inch OXO Good Grips locking tongs combine brushed stainless steel strength with soft, flexible handles to make everyday cooking tasks easier. The scalloped heads grip food securely while the comfortable rubberized grips reduce hand strain. A convenient pull-tab both locks the tongs closed for storage and forms a hanging loop, keeping them accessible yet tidy in a busy kitchen.

How do these tongs improve grip and comfort during cooking?

The OXO non-slip handles are made from a flexible, pressure-absorbing rubber that fits the palm and resists slipping when wet or dry. Ergonomic thumb rests give you controlled leverage, so you can handle delicate items or heavier pieces with confidence. These features reduce hand fatigue during repeated use.

• Soft, molded Good Grips handle for comfortable hold
• Thumb rests for better control and less pressure
• Slip-resistant material for safe handling in wet kitchens

Are these tongs durable and easy to clean?

The tongs use brushed stainless steel for the body and scalloped heads that resist warping, offering long-lasting strength through everyday use. The materials tolerate regular dishwashing, and the simple one-piece head-to-handle design minimizes food traps for faster cleaning. The locking mechanism closes the tool for compact storage and helps protect the tips when not in use.

• Brushed stainless steel construction for corrosion resistance
• Dishwasher-safe handles and steel for convenient cleanup
• Locking tab keeps tips protected and saves drawer space

What tasks are these 12-inch tongs best suited for?

This mid-length size balances reach and control, making the 12-inch OXO tongs versatile across stovetop, grill, and countertop tasks. The scalloped edges securely hold slippery or irregular foods, while the length keeps hands safely away from heat. Use them for turning cutlets, tossing salads, serving pasta, or retrieving items from jars.

• Turning and flipping food in pans and on grills
• Tossing salads and serving hot or cold dishes
• Grabbing items from jars or deep containers without mess

How does the locking mechanism and storage design help?

The pull-tab near the hinge locks the tongs closed for compact storage and doubles as a hanging loop so you can keep them within arm's reach. Locking the tongs reduces clutter in drawers and prevents the scalloped tips from catching on other utensils. The simple mechanism is intuitive and quick to engage with one hand.

• Large pull-tab locks tongs closed for tidy storage
• Pull-tab doubles as a hanging hole for easy access
• One-handed locking unlocks quickly during use
