Oxbow Orchard Grass Hay for Rabbits & Guinea Pigs — 9 lb Hand-Sorted, De-Dusted High-Fiber Forage

Oxbow Orchard Hay is a hand-sorted, de-dusted orchard grass hay formulated to provide a fragrant, high-fiber daily forage for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and other small pets.

Raised on Oxbow’s partnered farms in the USA, this Orchard Grass Hay is selected and packed to offer a soft texture and sweet aroma that encourages eating. High in fiber and free from additives, it supports natural chewing behavior and digestive well-being when offered daily. The 9 lb box is a convenient bulk option for pet owners who want fresh forage on hand, and the hand-sorting and de-dusting process reduces dust and debris for cleaner feeding.

How does this hay fit into my pet’s daily diet?

Unlimited access to grass hay is recommended for most rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small herbivores because it provides essential fiber and chewing activity. Orchard Grass Hay is intended as the primary forage complemented by measured fortified pellets and fresh vegetables as appropriate for each species.

• Offer large handfuls daily so your pet can graze throughout the day.
• Rotate or mix with other grass hays for flavor and texture variety.
• Store in a cool, dry place to preserve fragrance and texture.

What makes Oxbow’s orchard grass different from other hays?

Oxbow’s Orchard Grass is hand-sorted and hand-packed by trained hay growers, harvested from an established network of U.S. farms. The selection focuses on softer stems and fragrant grasses that many small pets prefer, and the product is free from additives or binders.

• Hand-sorted to reduce stems and foreign material.
• De-dusted to lower airborne particles and keep feeding areas cleaner.
• 100% natural with no preservatives or chemical treatments.

How should I store and serve the 9 lb box to keep it fresh?

Proper storage preserves aroma and texture so your pet enjoys fresh forage. Keep the hay in its original box or a breathable container away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight to prevent mold and loss of fragrance.

• Close the box between uses and store off the ground in a cool, dry area.
• Use within a reasonable time after opening for best aroma and palatability.
• Inspect hay before serving; discard any damp or musty-smelling portions.

Is this hay safe for young or senior small pets?

Orchard Grass is naturally high in fiber and gentle in texture, making it suitable for a range of life stages. As with any food change, introduce it gradually and monitor intake, especially for animals with specific health needs.

• Excellent for encouraging chewing in younger animals.
• Soft stems are easier for older pets to manage compared with coarser hays.
• Consult your veterinarian for pets with specialized dietary restrictions.
