Owala SmoothSip Slider Insulated Travel Coffee Cup 12 oz Very Very Dark — ceramic-lined, leakproof slide-top

The Owala SmoothSip Slider is a 12 oz insulated travel coffee cup with a ceramic-coated interior and a leakproof slide-top spout for a clean, pure sip.

Designed to give you coffee as it was meant to taste, this compact travel tumbler pairs vacuum insulation with a ceramic lining to eliminate metallic aftertaste while preserving temperature. The SmoothSip Slider spout delivers a smooth, splash-resistant flow and the cup’s slim profile fits comfortably in your hand and most car cup holders. Built to be carried everywhere, it balances practical leak protection with easy cleaning and durable construction.

How does the ceramic-coated interior affect taste and temperature?

The ceramic-coated stainless steel interior provides a neutral surface so drinks taste clean, not metallic. Because the ceramic is bonded to double-wall vacuum stainless steel, you still get strong thermal performance—hot stays hot and cold stays cold—without flavor transfer.

• Ceramic lining prevents metallic aftertaste for purer flavor
• Double-wall vacuum insulation maintains beverage temperature for hours
• Suitable for both hot coffee and cold drinks up to 24 hours chilled
• Neutral interior reduces lingering flavors between uses

Is the SmoothSip Slider really leakproof and easy to drink from?

The slide-top SmoothSip spout is engineered to close securely, minimizing spills and splashes while offering a seamless mouthfeel. It’s comfortable for sipping on the move and simple to operate with one hand, so it’s practical for commuting or quick refills.

• Leakproof slider mechanism keeps liquid contained when closed
• Smooth, seamless spout provides an effortless sip with no harsh edges
• Slide-top reduces accidental splashes during movement
• One-handed operation for convenience while traveling

How do I care for the cup and lid?

The tumbler itself should be hand washed to protect the ceramic coating, while the lid is dishwasher-safe for easy maintenance. Regular cleaning helps preserve the neutral taste and ensures the slider continues to seal effectively.

• Hand wash the ceramic-lined cup to maintain finish
• Dishwasher-safe lid for quick, hygienic cleaning
• Inspect slider and seal periodically for optimal leakproof performance
• Avoid abrasive cleaners to protect the ceramic coating

What practical features make this a good daily travel cup?

This 12-ounce tumbler balances a compact footprint with reliable insulation and a secure lid, making it versatile for daily routines. It’s lightweight enough for commutes, fits most cup holders, and offers a clean drinking experience that keeps beverages tasting true.

• 12 oz capacity suits standard coffee servings and reduces bulk
• Slim shape fits most vehicle and backpack cup holders
• BPA- and phthalate-free components for safer use
• Manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty supports long-term use
