Owala FreeSip Stainless Steel Water Bottle 40 oz Read My Lips — Dual-Drink Spout & Insulated

The Owala FreeSip 40 oz is an insulated stainless-steel water bottle with a patented dual-drink FreeSip spout and locking push-button lid for clean, versatile hydration.

Made to simplify drinking on the go, the FreeSip combines a built-in straw for upright sips and a wide spout for quick swigs. Double-wall insulation keeps cold beverages longer, while a protective push-to-open lid and carry loop make this reusable bottle practical for commuting, workouts, and daily use. The 40-ounce size offers extended capacity without sacrificing cup-holder compatibility, and the cup ships with a dishwasher-safe lid and a limited lifetime warranty from Owala.

How does the FreeSip spout change the way I drink?

The patented FreeSip spout gives you two drinking options in one bottle: use the internal straw to sip while upright or tilt the bottle to drink through the wide spout for faster flow. Switching between modes is immediate and hygienic thanks to the push-to-open lid.

• Built-in straw for controlled sips during meetings or driving
• Wide spout opening for quick swigs after workouts
• Push-button lid protects the spout from dirt and germs

Will this bottle actually keep drinks cold all day?

Yes—the FreeSip uses double-wall vacuum insulation to slow heat transfer, which preserves cold temperatures for many hours. While specific results depend on initial liquid temperature and ambient conditions, routine use shows reliable cooling throughout a typical workday.

• Double-wall stainless steel reduces condensation and heat exchange
• Holds cold beverages for up to 24 hours under normal conditions
• Wide mouth accepts ice to extend cooling duration

Is the bottle easy to clean and travel-friendly?

The bottle was designed for hassle-free maintenance and comfortable transport: the lid is dishwasher-safe, the wide mouth makes hand-washing the cup simple, and the slim base fits most car cup holders. The carry loop doubles as a locking mechanism for the lid, preventing accidental openings while you move.

• Dishwasher-safe lid; hand wash recommended for the cup
• Wide opening simplifies cleaning and adding ice
• Carry loop locks the lid and provides a grab point for travel

What should I know about materials and care?

The Owala FreeSip is constructed from BPA-, lead-, and phthalate-free materials and features durable stainless steel for long-term use. It is not intended for hot liquids—use only for cold or room-temperature beverages to protect the lid and insulation performance.

• BPA, lead, and phthalate-free for safer daily use
• Not designed for hot liquids; avoid boiling water and very hot drinks
• Manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship

Who is this for? The Owala FreeSip 40 oz is ideal for anyone who needs large-capacity, everyday cold hydration with flexible drinking options—commuters, fitness enthusiasts, students, and busy parents. If you want a single bottle that fits a cup holder, offers hygienic protection for the spout, and keeps drinks cold through long days, this model balances functionality, capacity, and playful design.
