Ove Glove heat- and flame-resistant oven mitts — Pack of 2 five-finger gloves with 540°F protection

The Ove Glove is a five-finger heat and flame resistant glove that protects hands up to 540°F for cooking, grilling, and hot-surface work.

Designed to combine the dexterity of a glove with high-temperature protection, the Ove Glove pairs a tough outer shell used by firefighters with a soft double-knit cotton lining. Its five-finger design offers a secure, natural grip so you can handle pans, racks, and tools without fumbling, while the outer layer resists flame, melting, and rapid temperature transfer. Sold as a pack of two, the gloves are ambidextrous and machine washable for regular use around the home and outdoors.

How much heat can the Ove Glove actually withstand?

The Ove Glove is rated to tolerate temperatures up to 540°F under typical handling conditions, making it suitable for most oven and grill tasks. The outer shell slows heat flow, while the inner cotton layer provides comfort and additional insulation.

• Performance tested to withstand 540°F heat
• Outer material resists open flame and does not melt
• Inner double-knit cotton adds softness and thermal buffering
• Five-finger fit reduces dropped items and improves control

Can I use these gloves for grilling, fireplace work, or DIY projects?

Yes—the Ove Glove is multi-functional and built for tasks that expose hands to high temperatures, sparks, or hot surfaces. It’s useful for backyard barbecues, moving fireplace logs, light welding tasks, and basic auto or home maintenance where heat is present.

• Good for barbeques and oven use
• Suitable for handling fireplace materials and hot tools
• Helpful for light welding, car repair, and tough DIY jobs
• Five-finger design supports tool handling and dexterity

How comfortable and durable are these gloves for repeated use?

Comfort was prioritized alongside protection: the interior is a soft double-knit cotton that cushions the hand and absorbs sweat, while the firefighter-grade outer shell stands up to repeated wear. They’re machine washable, so routine cleaning is straightforward without compromising performance.

• Soft double-knit cotton inner layer for comfort
• Durable outer shell resists abrasion and flame exposure
• Machine washable for easy maintenance
• Ambidextrous fit works for left or right hand use

Will the glove catch fire or melt if exposed to open flame?

The outer material is a heat- and flame-resistant fabric used in protective gear; it does not catch fire or melt under brief exposure to open flame. This design helps prevent rapid failure during tasks that include sparks or short flame contact, though prolonged exposure to direct flames should be avoided.

• Exterior resists ignition and melting
• Inner layer delays heat transfer to the skin
• Not intended for continuous immersion in flame or industrial welding environments
• Always follow safe handling practices and limit direct flame contact

Who this is for: The Ove Glove is aimed at home cooks, backyard grillers, fireplace maintainers, hobbyists and light-trade users who need reliable hand protection with finger-level control. If you want a reusable, washable glove that balances comfort and high-heat resistance for everyday kitchen and outdoor tasks, this pack of two offers practical coverage for both hands or a spare glove on hand.
