Outward Hound dog life jacket - Granby Splash X-Small orange, high-buoyancy front float & rescue handle

The Outward Hound Granby Splash X-Small is a high-buoyancy dog life jacket designed to keep very small dogs (11–15" girth) afloat, visible, and comfortable during water activities.

Whether you’re introducing a small pup to water for the first time or giving a trusted little swimmer extra support, the Granby Splash offers dependable flotation, easy on/off fastening, and bright visibility. Built with ripstop fabric and foam panels, this vest balances lift with freedom of movement so dogs can paddle naturally while remaining supported. The front float is shaped to help hold the head up and a reinforced top handle gives you a secure way to assist or lift your dog if needed.

How does this life jacket keep my tiny dog afloat and safe?

The Granby Splash combines thick foam panels with a front float to increase buoyancy where dogs need it most — around the chest and under the neck. Reflective trim and a high-visibility orange shell improve sightlines in low light or busy water.

• Maximum-buoyancy foam for small body sizes
• Front float designed to support head and neck position
• Bright orange color plus reflective accents for better visibility
• Reinforced top rescue handle for assisted lifting

Will it restrict my dog’s natural movement while swimming?

No — the jacket is shaped and padded to provide flotation without pinching or limiting leg motion. Lightweight ripstop fabric and strategically placed foam let dogs paddle and turn with minimal resistance.

• Lightweight ripstop outer for low drag
• Contoured foam panels that follow the dog’s shape
• Straps placed to avoid rubbing or constraining joints
• Quick-release buckles allow fast adjustment and removal

How do I get the right fit and put it on my dog?

Choose the X-Small for dogs with an 11–15" girth and use the adjustable straps to custom-tune the vest. The jacket secures with quick-release buckles and can be tightened or loosened while your dog stands, making fitting simple.

• Measure the widest part of the ribcage for correct sizing
• Adjust side straps until the vest sits snug but not tight
• Fasten buckles and check that the front float supports the chin
• Use the top handle only for lifting or emergency assistance

How should I care for the jacket and when should it be used?

Rinse with fresh water after exposure to salt or chlorinated pools and let air dry. This flotation aid is intended for conscious dogs in calm conditions and should never be used as a substitute for supervision.

• Rinse and air dry after each use; avoid heat sources
• Inspect stitching and foam for wear before outings
• Use rescue handle only in emergencies; do not leave dog unattended
• Designed for water support — always supervise your pet
