Ortho WeedClear Lawn Weed Killer Ready-to-Use 1.33 gal with Comfort Wand — spot-treatment, battery-powered wand, rainproof in 1 ho

Ortho WeedClear Lawn Weed Killer Ready-to-Use with Comfort Wand is a spot-treatment spray that kills over 200 broadleaf and grass weeds down to the root while preserving common lawn grasses when used as directed.

Keep your lawn free of unwanted weeds without blanket-spraying the entire yard. This ready-to-use 1.33 gallon container includes a battery-powered Comfort Wand that snaps onto the bottle for precise spot applications. The formula works on a wide range of common weeds—dandelion, clover, crabgrass, chickweed, creeping charlie and more—and becomes rainproof in about an hour. Use it on Bermudagrass, Kentucky bluegrass, fescues, ryegrass and several other turf types as part of routine lawn maintenance.

How quickly will I see weeds die after I spray?

Most treated weeds show visible decline within days and the product attacks roots so regrowth is less likely. Speed depends on weed type, growth stage, and weather; young, actively growing weeds respond fastest.

• Results often begin within a few days and continue over subsequent weeks.
• Rainproof in approximately 1 hour after application.
• Best results on young, actively growing weeds in 45°F–90°F daytime temperatures.

Which grasses and weeds can I safely treat?

The formula is labeled for use on many common turfgrasses but is intended for spot treatment only, not broadcast lawn application. It targets over 200 listed broadleaf and grassy weeds; always follow label directions for grass types and temperature restrictions.

• Safe for spot use on Bermudagrass, Buffalograss, fescues, Kentucky bluegrass, ryegrass, and zoysiagrass when used as directed.
• Effective on dandelion, clover, chickweed, crabgrass, creeping charlie, foxtail and other listed weeds.
• Do not treat entire lawns—apply directly to the weed foliage only.

How do I apply it correctly with the Comfort Wand?

Attach the battery-powered Comfort Wand to the bottle, choose the spray setting, and aim at the center of each weed to lightly cover leaves. The wand gives targeted control that reduces overspray and helps protect surrounding grass, people and pets.

• Snap wand onto bottle, set desired spray pattern, and press to spray.
• Lightly coat the weed foliage—avoid excessive runoff and drift.
• Keep people and pets off the treated area until surfaces are dry.

Are there timing or safety considerations I should know?

Apply during calm, dry weather and when daytime temperatures are within the recommended range to prevent stress to turf and ensure effectiveness. For safety, restrict access until sprays are dry and follow label instructions for temperature limits and turf types.

• Apply when weeds are actively growing, ideally in spring or fall.
• Do not apply to Bermudagrass above 85°F; overall range is 45°F–90°F.
• Spot treat only and prevent people or pets from entering treated areas until dry.
