ORIJEN Small Breed Grain-Free Dry Dog Food 10 lb Bag — High-Protein, WholePrey

Formulated to reflect the natural diet of canines, this recipe concentrates on fresh and raw animal ingredients to deliver rich protein, natural fats, and essential nutrients in a small, easy-to-chew kibble. With approximately 85% animal-based ingredients and WholePrey inclusions like organs and bone, the formula emphasizes variety and nutrient density while remaining grain free* for dogs who prefer or require a grain-excluded diet. The kibble is finished with freeze-dried raw pieces to boost palatability and deliver aroma and taste dogs find enticing.

What makes this formula suitable for small-breed dogs?

The recipe is tailored for the physiology and appetite of small dogs by offering a smaller kibble size and concentrated nutrient profile. Higher protein and calorie density help maintain healthy muscle and energy levels in active little dogs without feeding large volumes of food.

• Small, round kibble shape for easier chewing and quicker meals
• Calorie and protein proportions designed for smaller bodies
• High nutrient density reduces the amount required per feeding

Which animal ingredients are included and why do they matter?

The top five ingredients are fresh or raw poultry and fish, supplying complete amino acids, natural fats, and trace minerals. WholePrey components like organs and cartilage add additional vitamins and bioavailable nutrients often missing from single-protein diets.

• Fresh turkey, chicken and quail provide lean, whole-meat protein
• Whole blue whiting delivers omega fatty acids and seafood nutrients
• Organ meats and cartilage supply concentrated vitamins, minerals, and collagen

How is the food produced and what ingredients are not included?

ORIJEN prepares this formula in a kitchen that combines globally sourced ingredients, using fresh refrigerated and frozen raw deliveries for immediacy of nutrition. The recipe intentionally excludes common fillers and legumes often added to lower-cost foods.

• Made in the USA using fresh and raw animal ingredients
• No soy, corn, tapioca, or wheat ingredients added
• Freeze-dried raw coating for added flavor from real meats

How should I feed and transition my small dog to this kibble?

Introduce ORIJEN gradually over 7–10 days by mixing increasing amounts with the current diet until fully switched. Adjust portion sizes based on your dog’s age, activity level, and body condition, and provide fresh water at all times.

• Begin with a 25% new food / 75% current food mix, increasing new food daily
• Monitor weight and energy; reduce or increase portion as needed
• Store in a cool, dry place to preserve freshness of the freeze-dried pieces
