The Orbit Voyager 55461 is a 2-pack of gear-drive, screw-top pop-up rotors that deliver up to a 35-foot radius, adjustable 40–360° arc, and a low 0.24 in/hr precipitation rate for efficient medium-to-large lawn irrigation.
These Voyager rotors are designed for residential irrigation upgrades, repairs, or new zones where reliable, adjustable coverage is required. Each head pops up 4 inches to clear tall grass, includes a pre-installed 3 GPM nozzle and inlet filter, and accepts a 3/4" female pipe thread connection that works with common swing joints and risers. Built with high-impact ABS and stainless-steel internals, they trade quiet operation and precise water distribution for compatibility with major gear-drive systems.
Each rotor sprays up to a 35-foot radius and can be set between partial-arc patterns and a full 360° circle. Arc adjustments and radius reduction are accomplished with a standard slotted screwdriver—no special key required.
The pre-installed 3 GPM nozzle provides a low precipitation rate of about 0.24 inches per hour at the recommended 60 PSI, which helps minimize surface runoff and puddling on tighter soils or mild slopes. Slower application rates make them easier to match with soil infiltration rates and scheduling practices.
Each head includes a built-in inlet filter that helps keep grit and small particles from clogging the nozzle. The body uses UV-resistant, high-impact ABS while internal moving parts use stainless steel, balancing corrosion resistance with long-term operation under outdoor conditions.
The 3/4" female pipe thread inlet fits standard threaded risers, Blu-Lock swing joints and Funny Pipe fittings, so it integrates with many existing residential systems. Replacement and zone-additions are straightforward: thread into the riser or swing joint, set the arc with a screwdriver, and clean the filter as needed.
Who is this for? Homeowners, landscapers, and irrigation technicians who need a dependable, adjustable rotor for medium-to-large lawns will find the Orbit Voyager 55461 useful. It’s particularly suited to zones that require a 20–40 foot radius, benefit from a lower precipitation rate to reduce runoff, and demand compatibility with standard fittings and tools. Use it when you want a quiet, gear-driven rotor that’s easy to maintain and integrates with existing residential irrigation infrastructure.
Q: What pressure should I run these rotors at?
A: Operate near 60 PSI for optimal radius and the stated 0.24 in/hr precipitation rate.
Q: Can I adjust the spray without a special key?
A: Yes — arc and radius adjustments use a standard slotted screwdriver, no special key needed.
