OPTP McKenzie Lumbar Roll Standard Density 11 x 4.75 in — Removable Cover & Elastic Strap

The OPTP Original McKenzie Lumbar Roll is a 11" x 4.75" standard-density foam cylinder designed to support the natural curve of your lower spine while seated.

Whether you work at a desk, drive long distances, or travel frequently, the McKenzie Lumbar Roll gives moderate, reliable support that encourages better posture and more comfortable sitting. Made in the USA from durable foam with a removable moisture-wicking polyester cover and an adjustable 1.5" elastic strap, this lumbar roll is a portable and therapist-recommended option for everyday use.

How does this lumbar roll help during long sitting sessions?

The roll provides targeted support to the lumbar curve so your pelvis and lower spine maintain a healthier alignment while seated. It reduces the tendency to slump forward by filling the gap between chair and lower back, helping you remain in a more natural posture without excessive effort.

• Measures 11" long and 4.75" diameter to match most adult lumbar contours.
• Standard-density foam offers moderate support—firmer than soft pillows but gentler than firm-density options.
• 1.5" elastic strap secures the roll to office chairs, car seats, or airline seats.
• Removable, moisture-wicking polyester cover keeps the surface fresh and easy to wash.

Can I use this roll for travel and in different chairs?

Yes. Lightweight and compact, the McKenzie Lumbar Roll is easy to move from one seat to another and fits most chair backs. The elastic strap helps keep it in place, and the roll’s size works well for cars, airplanes, office chairs, and home seating.

• Portable enough to carry in a bag or keep in your vehicle for commutes.
• Strap can be positioned around the seat back or the waist depending on preference.
• Durable foam maintains shape after repeated use and transport.

What makes the OPTP Original McKenzie different from other lumbar cushions?

This model follows the McKenzie principle of supporting the spine’s natural curve with a simple cylindrical design rather than a contoured or wedge shape. Its standard-density foam balances comfort and support, and the product’s professional reputation and U.S. manufacturing are distinguishing factors.

• Trusted and recommended by physical therapists and chiropractors worldwide.
• Simple, clinically inspired design focuses support where it’s needed most.
• Made in the USA with a removable, washable cover for hygiene and longevity.

How do I care for and position the lumbar roll?

Position the roll at the small of your back where you feel the natural inward curve; adjust forward or backward until it feels supportive but not forced. For care, unzip the polyester cover and launder according to the label to keep the surface fresh and dry.

• Place the center of the roll at the lumbar curve when seated; use the elastic strap to secure it to the chair back.
• Remove cover and wash on gentle cycle; air-dry to preserve moisture-wicking properties.
• Avoid compressing foam in tight storage to prolong shape retention.

Who is this for? The OPTP Original McKenzie Lumbar Roll — Standard Density is ideal for office workers, drivers, travelers, and anyone who wants a portable, therapist-endorsed lumbar support that balances comfort with reliable contouring. Choose the standard-density version if you prefer moderate support; a firm-density alternative is available for those who need a firmer feel.
