OMNIFilter 10-Inch Carbon-Wrap Whole-House Replacement Filter Cartridge 10x2.5, 5-Micron Pack of 2 for Taste & Sediment

The Pentair OMNIFilter TO1 is a 10" carbon-wrapped replacement cartridge that removes fine sediment and reduces chlorine taste and odor for whole-house chlorinated water systems.

The TO1 cartridge combines a carbon-impregnated cellulose core with a sediment-capturing wrap to deliver clearer, better-tasting water from every cold-water tap. Designed to fit standard 10" x 2.5" filter housings, this model is compatible with Pentair OMNIFilter U24, U25 and U30 systems as well as many other common whole-house housings. Each cartridge is rated for roughly 15,000 gallons and is sold here as a convenient two-pack so you have a spare on hand when it’s time to replace.

How does this filter improve water taste and odor?

The TO1 uses activated carbon embedded in a cellulose matrix to adsorb chlorine and the compounds that create unpleasant taste and smells. The carbon also helps reduce organic tastes while the wrap keeps the media stable and evenly exposed to flow.

• Activated carbon-impregnated cellulose targets chlorine and odor-causing molecules
• Single-cartridge solution treats both taste/odor and sediment
• Helps improve flavor for drinking, cooking, and ice makers

Will it work in my existing whole-house system?

This cartridge is sized to standard 10" x 2.5" housings, so it installs in most whole-house filter canisters from major brands. It’s engineered to pair seamlessly with Pentair OMNIFilter U24, U25, and U30 systems but also fits universal housings that accept standard cartridges.

• Standard 10" x 2.5" dimensions for broad compatibility
• Direct fit in Pentair OMNIFilter models U24, U25, U30
• Works in municipal (chlorinated) water supplies

How long does each cartridge last and when should I replace it?

Each TO1 cartridge is rated for approximately 15,000 gallons, which commonly translates to about three months of household use. Replacement frequency depends on your household water usage, incoming water quality, and sediment load; replace sooner if flow drops or water clarity/taste declines.

• Rated capacity: ~15,000 gallons per cartridge
• Typical replacement interval: ~3 months under normal municipal water conditions
• Change sooner if you observe reduced water pressure or poorer taste/clarity

What does the cartridge filter out and what is its micron rating?

The TO1 is built to capture fine particles and address chemical taste and odor. Its carbon-wrapped design filters sediment down to 5 microns while the activated carbon media reduces chlorine-related tastes and odors, making water more pleasant for everyday use.

• Sediment reduction down to 5 microns (fine particulates, rust flakes)
• Activated carbon reduces chlorine taste and odor
• Dual-purpose media for mechanical and chemical improvement

Who is this for? The OMNIFilter TO1 10" carbon wrap cartridge is intended for homeowners on municipal, chlorinated water systems who want a simple, cost-effective replacement that improves both water clarity and taste across the whole house. It’s ideal if you already own a compatible 10" housing or a Pentair OMNIFilter U24/U25/U30 system and prefer the convenience of a two-pack to keep a spare cartridge ready for scheduled maintenance. This cartridge is not designed for untreated well water or systems requiring specialized chemical or microbiological reduction.
