Omie OmieBox UP Kids Insulated Bento Box — Galaxy Purple, 12oz Thermal Jar & Removable Ice Pack

The Omie OmieBox UP Galaxy Purple is a compact kids' bento that keeps a hot main and chilled sides at safe temperatures in one leak-resistant container.

Designed for older children and preteens, the OmieBox UP upgrades the classic OmieBox concept with a larger insulated jar, a removable ice pack, and a refreshed colorway. It combines a vacuum-insulated stainless steel food jar for warm entrees with separate compartments that stay cool when paired with the included ice pack. Built from 18/8 (304) stainless steel and dishwasher-safe materials, this Galaxy Purple edition balances durability with everyday convenience for school, trips, and after-school activities.

How does OmieBox UP keep hot food hot and cold food cold together?

OmieBox UP separates temperature zones by using an insulated thermal jar for warm meals and a removable ice pack for the surrounding compartments. The design allows hot soup or pasta to stay warm while fruits, sandwiches, or snacks remain chilled without cross-contamination.

• 12-ounce vacuum-insulated thermal jar holds a hot main for up to about 4 hours.
• Removable ice pack sits in the outer section to keep sides cool for hours.
• Separate, leak-resistant seals minimize mixing of temperatures and flavors.

What materials and cleaning care should I expect?

OmieBox UP is constructed from food-grade 18/8 (304) stainless steel and BPA-/phthalate-free plastics for longevity and safety. Seals and gaskets are removable so you can clean thoroughly, and most components are dishwasher safe for hassle-free maintenance.

• Durable stainless steel jar resists stains and odors.
• All rubber seals detach for hand or dishwasher cleaning.
• Replaceable seals available to extend the product lifespan.

How big are the compartments and what fits inside?

The integrated thermal jar holds roughly 12 ounces—about 40% more capacity than the original OmieBox jar—giving room for soups, stews, or warm pasta. The outer bento sections accommodate sandwiches, fruit, cut vegetables, and snacks, letting you pack a balanced lunch in one compact box.

• Thermal jar: ~12 oz capacity, ideal for warm mains.
• Outer compartments sized for sandwiches, sliced fruit, yogurt cups, or snack portions.
• Compact footprint fits into backpacks while offering adult-style capacity for growing kids.

Is OmieBox UP safe and appropriate for older children?

OmieBox UP is intended for children aged 9 years and older, reflecting its larger size and thermal jar that may contain hot foods. The construction uses safe, certified materials, but caregivers should supervise when packing or serving hot liquids and ensure lids and seals are correctly placed.

• Recommended age grade: 9+ years old.
• BPA-free, phthalate-free materials and food-grade stainless steel.
• Handle hot contents with caution and instruct kids on safe use.

Who is this for? The Omie OmieBox UP Galaxy Purple is ideal for families with older children or preteens who want a single lunchbox that handles warm mains and chilled sides without needing multiple containers. It suits parents who prioritize durability, safe materials, and easy cleaning, plus kids who prefer a grown-up look and slightly larger portions for busy school days, after-school sports, or weekend outings.
