Made from sustainably rescued wood fiber and a plant-based clumping agent, this unscented litter offers a lightweight, low-dust alternative to traditional clay litters. It’s free of synthetic fragrances, dyes, and harsh chemicals, so it’s suitable for households with sensitive cats, kittens, and people who prefer more natural cleaning products. The packaging is 100% recyclable paper with a sturdy carry handle for easy storage and pouring.

How does this litter control odor without added fragrances?

ÖKOCAT uses the natural properties of wood fiber to inhibit the chemical reactions that create ammonia and other unpleasant smells. The material absorbs liquid immediately and locks it into firm clumps, reducing exposure to waste and minimizing lingering odors.

• Plant-based fiber prevents enzyme bonding that produces odor
• Rapid absorption reduces surface ammonia formation
• Unscented formulation avoids masking smells with artificial perfumes

Will my cat accept the texture if they’re used to clay litter?

This Super Soft formula is designed to feel similar to clay while remaining entirely plant-based, making transitions easier for finicky cats. The fine, gentle texture is comfortable on paws, which helps kittens and older cats adjust more readily.

• Super soft, fine wood fiber resembles clay’s feel
• Gentle on sensitive paws and suitable for kittens
• Helps reduce tracking thanks to lightweight, compact granules

How does clumping and cleanup work with this litter?

Fiber is precision cut to absorb moisture on contact and form solid clumps that are easy to scoop without leaving a powdery residue. That means faster daily maintenance and less waste when compared with non-clumping natural litters.

• Fast-forming, solid clumps for simple scooping
• Low carryout and minimal residue in the pan
• Biodegradable clumps compatible with composting where allowed

Is this litter safe and easy to manage around the house?

ÖKOCAT’s litter is 99% dust free and contains no clay dust, artificial dyes, or toxic chemicals, contributing to a cleaner pour and a healthier indoor environment. The bag is recyclable and the litter’s lightweight nature reduces storage and carrying burden.

• Screened wood fiber for minimal dust and cleaner air
• Lightweight 10.6 lb bag saves effort lifting and storing
• 100% recyclable paper bag with strong handle for easy transport
