NutriSource Adult Chicken & Rice Small Bites Dog Food, 12 lb — Small‑kibble for Small Breeds with Good4Life Gut Health

NutriSource Adult Chicken & Rice Small Bites is a chicken-forward, smaller-kibble complete dog food designed to meet the nutritional needs of adult small and toy breeds.

This formula pairs real chicken as the primary protein with digestible rice and a targeted Good4Life gut-health system to support digestion, nutrient absorption, and overall vitality. The recipe avoids corn, wheat, soy, and animal by-products while delivering added omegas, trace minerals, and antioxidants to help maintain healthy skin, coat, and cellular function. Made in the USA by Tuffy's Pet Foods, the 12 lb bag is portioned for households with small dogs and offers a kibble size that’s easier for small mouths to pick up and chew.

How does the smaller kibble benefit small and toy breeds?

Small and toy breed dogs often struggle with large, dense kibbles; this formula’s size and shape are tailored for easier grasping and gentler chewing. Smaller pieces also help moderate intake and make mealtimes quicker and less stressful for tiny mouths.

• Smaller kibble diameter and lighter density for comfortable chewing.
• Chicken-forward flavor to encourage picky eaters.
• Portion control easier with a 12 lb bag sized for small households.

What does the Good4Life gut health system do for digestion?

Good4Life combines probiotics coated on each kibble with prebiotic BIO-MOS and supportive trace minerals to promote a balanced gut microbiome. This combination is aimed at faster probiotic activation in the digestive tract and better nutrient uptake without relying on artificial digestive aids.

• Probiotics coated externally for quicker activation in the gut.
• BIO-MOS prebiotic to nourish beneficial bacteria.
• Bioplex minerals and Sel-Plex selenium yeast to support gut function.

Which nutrients support coat, brain, and heart health in this recipe?

The recipe includes both Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, plus DHA, to support skin, coat, and cognitive function. Bioplex trace minerals and targeted amino acids such as taurine and DL-methionine contribute to overall metabolic health and cellular maintenance.

• Omega-3 (including DHA) and Omega-6 fatty acids for skin and coat condition.
• Taurine, DL-methionine, choline chloride, and L-carnitine for metabolic support.
• Bioplex trace minerals and Sel-Plex selenium yeast for cellular antioxidant protection.

Is this food suitable for rotating with other diets and where is it made?

Yes — the formula meets AAFCO dog food nutrient profiles for all life stages, allowing confident rotation when introduced gradually. It is manufactured in the USA by Tuffy's Pet Foods, a multi-generation family-owned company, giving transparency about origin and production standards.

• AAFCO-compliant for all life stages, supporting rotation strategies.
• Produced by a third-generation family-owned U.S. company since 1964.
• No corn, wheat, soy, or animal by-products in the recipe.
