Nutramax Laboratories Proviable Probiotics + Prebiotics for Dogs — Diarrhea Support Kit with Capsules & Paste

Nutramax Proviable Diarrhea Support Kit is a two-part digestive support system for dogs that combines multi-strain probiotic capsules with a kaolin-pectin paste to help restore intestinal balance.

When a dog experiences loose stool after diet changes, travel, or stress, targeted support can help reestablish normal digestive function. The Proviable kit pairs billions of colony-forming units of beneficial bacteria in easy-to-sprinkle capsules with a palatable oral paste formulated to help firm stool and soothe the gastrointestinal tract. Developed by Nutramax Laboratories Veterinary Sciences, Inc., this kit is designed for convenient home use and carries the brand’s long-standing focus on veterinary supplements.

How does the Proviable kit help when my dog has diarrhea?

Proviable addresses gut imbalance two ways: replenishing beneficial bacteria with capsules, and providing an oral paste that helps slow and firm loose stool. The combination helps create an environment where healthy microbes can re-establish and the gut lining can feel soothed during recovery.

• Multi-strain probiotic capsules with billions of CFUs to repopulate intestinal flora.
• Prebiotics included to encourage growth of beneficial bacteria already in the gut.
• Kaolin and pectin paste to help firm stool and coat the GI tract for comfort.
• Easy administration: capsules sprinkle over food; paste delivered by syringe into mouth.

How do I give the capsules and paste to my dog?

The capsules are designed to be opened and sprinkled over your dog's food, making them ideal for picky eaters or dogs on wet diets. The paste comes in a syringe for measured, direct oral dosing; many dogs accept it by mouth because it’s formulated to be palatable.

• Open capsule and mix powder into meal—no swallowing required.
• Use the syringe to apply paste gently inside the mouth or on the tongue for quick dosing.
• Follow label directions or your veterinarian’s dosing plan for best results.

Are Proviable capsules clinically researched and safe for routine use?

Proviable’s probiotic blend has been included in published studies evaluating digestive support in pets; the formulation pairs probiotics with prebiotics to support intestinal balance. As with any supplement, follow recommended dosing and consult your veterinarian if your dog is on medications or has underlying health conditions.

• Clinically researched multi-strain probiotic formulation from Nutramax.
• Contains both probiotics (beneficial bacteria) and prebiotics (to feed them).
• Intended as a supportive supplement, not a replacement for veterinary care.

When will I see improvement and what should I watch for?

Many owners observe changes in stool consistency within a few days when using a digestive support kit, but timing varies with cause and severity. Monitor hydration, activity level, and stool color; seek veterinary care if symptoms worsen, blood appears in stool, or the pet becomes lethargic.

• Possible stool improvement within days for mild dietary upsets.
• Contact your vet if symptoms persist beyond a short recovery window.
• Watch for signs like vomiting, dehydration, or blood in stool—these require prompt care.

Who is this for: Nutramax Proviable Diarrhea Support Kit is suited for dog owners seeking a veterinarian-backed supplemental approach to transient digestive upsets—such as those caused by diet changes, stress, travel, or minor indiscretions. It’s intended for pet owners who want an easy-to-administer probiotic with supporting prebiotics plus a convenient paste to help firm stool. For ongoing or severe gastrointestinal issues, consult your veterinarian for diagnosis and treatment.
