NORITUAL LAB Ceremonial Matcha Uji is a finely milled, first-harvest green tea powder from Uji, Japan, crafted for authentic flavor and smooth texture.
Harvested in Uji — a region celebrated for premium Japanese green tea — this ceremonial-grade matcha is made exclusively from young Tencha leaves selected during the first spring harvest. The powder is stone-milled to a velvety consistency, delivering a fresh aroma, pronounced umami, and vibrant green color. Small-batch production with a family-run farm preserves traditional methods and ensures traceable, single-origin quality.
First-harvest (ichibancha) leaves are picked early in the season when flavor compounds and amino acids are most concentrated. That timing gives the matcha a sweeter, rounder taste and a smoother mouthfeel compared with later harvests or culinary blends.
Use water just below boiling (about 75–80°C / 170–176°F) to maintain the matcha's sweetness and avoid bitterness. Whisk a half to one teaspoon of powder in a bowl or mug with a bamboo whisk until frothy, or sift the powder first for an extra-smooth result.
Although crafted for traditional drinking, ceremonial matcha performs beautifully in milk-based drinks and upscale recipes where pure matcha flavor is desired. Because of its refined taste, a smaller amount is often sufficient to provide vibrant color and nuanced green-tea notes without overpowering other ingredients.
Each batch comes from a single Uji tea farm with multigenerational expertise, following careful leaf selection and traditional milling. The result is a consistent, 100% Uji Tencha origin product with minimal processing to retain natural characteristics.
Who is this for: NORITUAL LAB Ceremonial Matcha Uji is aimed at tea lovers who value authentic Japanese provenance, clarity of flavor, and a traditional matcha experience — ideal for purists, specialty cafes, home ritualists, and culinary creators seeking premium, first-harvest matcha. Its refined taste and vivid green profile suit both mindful tea sessions and elevated recipes where the quality of matcha matters.
