NOCO 12V Onboard Battery Charger GENIUS2D 2A — Compact Trickle Charger & Maintainer

Designed to live under the hood or in tight engine compartments, the GENIUS2D combines precision charging, long-term maintenance, and desulfation in a small weather-tolerant package. It supports a wide range of 12-volt lead-acid chemistries—AGM, gel, flooded, SLA, VRLA—and is sized for batteries up to about 40 amp-hours, making it ideal for cars, motorcycles, lawn & garden equipment, ATVs, boats, RVs, classic cars, and utility vehicles. With simple hard-mounted installation hardware and a three-year warranty, it’s built for reliable, out-of-sight battery care.

How does the GENIUS2D attach under the hood and stay secure?

The charger includes a snap-fit mounting bracket and truss-head self-tapping screws for fast, firm installation on many surfaces. Its compact footprint and wire routing allow neat integration near the battery without obstructing other components.

• Durable snap-fit bracket for tool-free seating and alignment.
• Self-tapping screws provided for secure, vibration-resistant mounting.
• 24-inch AC and DC cables with eyelet terminals for neat connection points.
• Small housing fits tight engine bays and utility compartments.

What battery types and conditions can it handle?

GENIUS2D is engineered for 12V lead-acid battery types including AGM, gel, SLA/VRLA and flooded batteries. It can charge very low-voltage batteries and includes a manual Force Mode for rescuing deeply discharged cells.

• Charges batteries down to 1 volt automatically; Force Mode can revive 0-volt batteries.
• Suitable for maintenance-free and deep-cycle batteries up to ~40Ah.
• Works with automotive, marine, powersports, lawn & garden, and RV batteries.
• Pulse-charging reverses sulfation trends to help recover neglected batteries.

How does the charger protect and optimize battery performance?

The unit uses temperature-compensated charging and intelligent monitoring to avoid overcharge and undercharge scenarios. Precision pulse charging addresses sulfation and acid stratification to help restore capacity without user intervention.

• Thermal sensing adjusts charge voltage with ambient temperature changes.
• Smart monitoring automatically maintains batteries long-term safely.
• Pulse desulfation helps reverse common lead-acid degradation patterns.
• Safe for indefinite connected use—keeps batteries ready without damage.

What comes in the box and what are the installation essentials?

The package contains the GENIUS2D 2A onboard charger, a 24-inch AC cord, a 24-inch DC cable with eyelet terminals, the mounting bracket, screws, and documentation. Installation is typically straightforward for DIYers comfortable with basic hand tools and battery terminals.

• 2A onboard charger with integrated cable exits for tidy routing.
• 24-inch AC and DC cables for flexible mounting locations.
• Mounting bracket and self-tapping screws included for secure fitment.
• Backed by a three-year warranty and designed in the USA.

Who is this for? The NOCO GENIUS2D fits owners who want a compact, always-ready solution to keep 12V lead-acid batteries healthy and charged without removing them for periodic top-ups. It’s especially useful for classic cars, seasonal vehicles, marine craft, RVs, lawn and garden equipment, and any vehicle or machine that benefits from an under-hood, permanently mounted charger. If you need reliable trickle charging, occasional battery recovery, and safe long-term maintenance in a small package, the GENIUS2D is built to deliver.
