Nespresso Vertuo Fortado Decaffeinato Gran Lungo 30-Count — Bold Decaf, Full Body & Thick Crema

Fortado Decaffeinato is Nespresso’s most intense Gran Lungo decaffeinated blend, delivering bold cocoa and oak notes with a thick crema in a 5.0 fl. oz. pour.

If you want an espresso-length cup that keeps roasted depth and a full body without caffeine, these Vertuo capsules were designed for that purpose. The recipe pairs Indian Robusta for structure and thickness with Colombian Arabica to preserve chocolatey and woody aromatics, then decaffeinates while protecting flavor. Each box contains 30 single-serve aluminum capsules sized for the Gran Lungo extraction (5.0 fl. oz.).

How intense is Fortado Decaffeinato compared with other Vertuo coffees?

Fortado Decaffeinato sits at the higher end of the intensity scale, delivering a dense mouthfeel and pronounced toasted notes despite being decaffeinated. The blend relies on Robusta to supply body and crema, while dark-roasted Arabica adds complexity.

• Intensity rating: 8 — one of the boldest Gran Lungo options.
• Blend makeup: Indian Robusta for strength + Colombian Arabica for cocoa and oak nuances.
• Serving size: Gran Lungo 5.0 fl. oz. for extended espresso enjoyment.

What flavor profile can I expect from each 5 fl. oz. cup?

Expect concentrated bitter-sweet cocoa, toasted oak-like wood tones, and an assertive roasted backbone. The crema is thick and velvety, thanks to the Robusta presence, which also contributes to a fuller finish on the palate.

• Primary notes: dark cocoa and oak wood.
• Texture: full-bodied with a dense, persistent crema.
• Aftertaste: clean yet lingering roast-driven finish.

Is this decaffeinated coffee still suitable with milk?

Yes — Fortado Decaffeinato maintains its character when combined with milk-based preparations. Milk softens the roast edges and enhances the chocolate tones without diluting the blend’s depth.

• Works well in caffè latte and flat white variations.
• Milk highlights cocoa notes while preserving body.
• Gives a balanced, rich cup rather than a washed-out flavor.

How does the packaging and recycling work?

These Nespresso capsules are made from aluminum to lock in freshness and aroma over time. Nespresso offers multiple recycling options and guidance to help return used capsules for proper processing.

• Aluminum capsules protect coffee freshness and are recyclable.
• Nespresso provides local collection points and mail-back programs in many regions.
• Box contains 30 Vertuo-format capsules; not compatible with Original machines.

Who is this for: Fortado Decaffeinato is aimed at coffee drinkers who want the sensory impact of a dark, full-bodied Gran Lungo without caffeine — ideal for those who appreciate rich cocoa and woody roast notes, a dense crema, and a 5.0 fl. oz. espresso-length serving. Choose this if you use a Nespresso Vertuo machine, prefer single-serve convenience, and value recyclable aluminum capsules paired with a bold decaf profile.
