NEIKO 0–6" Digital Caliper Stainless Steel, Large LCD, Inch/Fraction/mm Quick-Change, 0.0005" Resolution

Whether you're working in a home workshop, automotive bay, or a small machine shop, accurate linear measurements matter. The NEIKO 01407A pairs a finely polished stainless-steel slide and jaws with an oversized digital display and an easy thumb roller so you can take repeatable readings fast. Factory-calibrated to fine tolerances, it reads to 0.001" (0.02 mm) with 0.0005" resolution and supports three display modes for straightforward unit switching.

How quickly can I switch between inches, fractions and millimeters?

Changing units is instantaneous using the quick-change button on the head of the caliper, so you avoid manual math or separate tools. The display toggles among decimal inch, fractional inch, and metric millimeter reads for flexible use across plans and parts.

• One-button toggle for inch, fraction and mm views
• Resolution: 0.0005" / 1/128" / 0.01 mm
• Accuracy: ±0.001" / ±0.02 mm
• Auto-off to save battery life

What measurement types can this caliper handle on a jobsite?

The NEIKO 01407A is built to handle a full range of caliper tasks: external dimensions with the main jaws, internal bores with the upper jaws, depth with the probe, and stepped features using the sliding faces. Two jaw sets plus a depth probe make it a flexible instrument for parts, hardware and assemblies.

• Outside and inside jaw sets for external and bore measurements
• Depth-measurement probe on the shaft for recesses and holes
• Step measurement using the sliding foot and fixed shoulder
• Precision ground jaws for consistent contact and reading

How durable and user-friendly is the construction?

Constructed from polished stainless steel, the caliper resists wear and provides smooth motion via a knurled thumb roller and locking screw. The large LCD improves visibility in bright workshops and the unit ships in a protective gray case that is pressure resistant and absorbs shock during transport.

• Stainless-steel frame for corrosion resistance and longevity
• Knurled thumb roller and locking screw for controlled adjustments
• Extra-large LCD for quick, readable measurements
• Protective storage case and two long-life batteries included

How precise are the readings and how do I zero the tool?

The caliper is factory-calibrated to professional tolerances and delivers repeatable readings down to one-thousandth of an inch. You can reset the display to zero at any slide position for comparative measurements or differential checks.

• Display precision: 0.0005" / 0.01 mm increments
• Stated accuracy: ±0.001" / ±0.02 mm
• Zero function allows relative measurements from any jaw position
• Includes spare battery so you can keep working

Who is this for? The NEIKO 01407A is designed for hobbyists, technicians and professionals who need a compact, accurate digital caliper for general measurement tasks. It suits woodworkers, metalworkers, machinists, automotive mechanics and DIYers who prefer a durable stainless-steel tool with a clear digital readout and quick unit conversion.
