Nature Jim's Sprouts Salad Mix is a ready-to-sow, organic blend of broccoli, alfalfa, clover, and radish sprouting seeds that yields fresh microgreens in about five days.

This 1 lb bag from Nature Jims Sprouts contains a balanced combination of fast-germinating seeds designed for home sprouting and microgreen trays. The mix is organic and non-GMO, supplied by a company with decades of seed experience, and formulated to give you a flavorful, nutrient-dense salad topping or garnish without needing a garden plot.

How quickly will I harvest edible sprouts from this mix?

You can expect tender sprouts and microgreens within roughly five days under typical indoor sprouting conditions. Germination time varies with temperature, moisture, and light, but these varieties are selected for fast, consistent growth.

• Broccoli and radish: visible shoots in 2–3 days, harvestable microgreens by day 5.
• Alfalfa and clover: quick, delicate sprouts suitable for salads in about 4–6 days.
• Optimal conditions: 65–75°F, consistent rinsing, and good drainage speed results.

What equipment and steps do I need to grow these seeds at home?

Basic sprouting containers or shallow trays, a breathable lid or mesh, and regular rinsing are all you need to get started. The process is simple enough for beginners and can scale to larger flat trays for more yield.

• Use a sprouting jar, stackable tray, or shallow microgreen tray with drainage.
• Rinse seeds twice daily and keep them moist but not waterlogged.
• Provide indirect light after initial germination to encourage green, sturdy shoots.

Which flavors and textures will this salad mix add to meals?

This combination delivers a layered taste profile: mild, peppery, and nutty notes that enhance salads, sandwiches, and bowls. The mix produces tender stems and small leafy tops that add both crunch and visual appeal.

• Broccoli sprouts: mild, slightly earthy bite with a crisp texture.
• Radish sprouts: bright, peppery kick to lift flavors.
• Alfalfa and clover: soft, mild greens that bulk up the salad texture.

How should I store the seed mix so it stays viable?

Keep the seeds in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve germination rates. For longer-term storage, reseal the bag and refrigerate to extend shelf life.

• Store sealed in a pantry at stable room temperature for short-term use.
• Refrigerate sealed packages for months-long preservation of viability.
• Avoid humidity and warm locations to prevent premature degradation.

It's helpful for beginners who want a forgiving, fast-growing blend and for experienced growers who want a consistent, flavorful seed mix they can produce year-round in trays or jars.
