Compact and engineered for convenience, the Fuel Keg gives outdoor cooks, campers, and hobbyists an alternative to single‑use propane cartridges. How do I refill the Fuel Keg and how long does it take?

Refilling the Fuel Keg requires the Mr. Heater Fuel Keg Refill Kit, which creates a secure, tool‑free connection between a full 20 lb cylinder and the 1 lb keg. The patented coupling lets you transfer a complete fill in under a minute while preventing leaks when used per instructions.

• Requires Fuel Keg Refill Kit (sold separately).
• Tool‑free connection for most refills.
• Complete refill typically under 60 seconds.

Is the Fuel Keg safe and compatible with my gear?

The Fuel Keg is built from sturdy materials and includes a standard propane valve for use with many portable appliances. Always follow Mr. Heater’s safety and connection guidelines and inspect fittings before each use to maintain safe operation.

• Standard valve fits common 1 lb appliance adapters.
• Designed for repeated use with proper maintenance.
• Inspect O‑rings and fittings before each refill or attachment.

What are the practical benefits compared with disposable cylinders?

Switching to the Fuel Keg lowers recurring costs by allowing many refills from a single larger source, and it reduces the number of empty disposable canisters you throw away. The reusable keg also simplifies storage and transport for frequent outdoors use.

• Cost savings over repeated disposable cylinders.
• Less waste and fewer empty canisters to dispose of.
• Compact 1 lb capacity keeps appliances lightweight and balanced.

What maintenance or accessories are required to use the Fuel Keg?

To operate the Fuel Keg you need the Mr. Heater Fuel Keg Refill Kit and a full 20 lb or other approved refill source. Routine maintenance is minimal: keep the valve clean, verify seals, and store the keg empty and upright when not in use.

• Fuel Keg Refill Kit required (sold separately).
• Wipe debris from valve and check seals periodically.
• Store upright, away from heat and direct sunlight when empty.

Who is this for? The Mr. Heater Fuel Keg is ideal for regular outdoor cooks, campers, tailgaters, and anyone who uses 1 lb propane cylinders often and wants a reusable option. If you value lower fuel costs, fewer disposable canisters, and fast, repeatable refills when paired with the refill kit, the Fuel Keg is a practical, compact upgrade for portable propane needs.
