MerryPony Magnetic Wooden Chess & Checkers Set — 15" Foldable Travel Board with Felt-Bottomed Pieces

The MerryPony 2 in 1 Magnetic Wooden Chess & Checkers Set is a 15" foldable wooden board with magnetic, felt-bottomed pieces and built-in storage for travel-ready classic gameplay.

This elegant set blends handcrafted wood styling with practical travel features: a 15" x 15" inlaid board that folds into a storage box, magnetic game pieces that stay put, and extras like spare queens and felt pads to protect the board. It’s designed to deliver stable play at home, on trips, or in group settings where durability and portability matter.

How does the foldable design make packing and storage easier?

The board folds in half and locks into a compact box that holds every piece, eliminating loose parts and simplifying transport. The integrated storage keeps pieces organized and ready to play without a separate bag or case.

• Board folds into a secure storage box for pieces
• Compact 15" x 15" size fits backpacks or carry-on luggage
• All pieces stow inside to avoid misplacement

Do the magnetic pieces really stay in place during play and travel?

Yes. Each piece contains a magnet strong enough to hold it to the wooden board through normal movement, so pieces remain steady during concentrated play or while moving the set. This reduces interruptions and keeps strategy intact.

• Magnets secure pieces to each square during gameplay
• Pieces are lightweight yet stable for smooth moves
• Felt padding on piece bases protects the board surface

What materials and protections are included to ensure longevity?

The board features smooth inlaid wood for a refined look and robust construction. Each chess piece has felt padding to prevent scratches, and the finish resists everyday wear, making the set suitable for frequent use.

• Smooth inlaid wooden board with durable finish
• Felt-bottomed pieces to protect the playing surface
• Extra queen pieces included for flexibility in play

How versatile is this set for different players and environments?

Designed for both beginners and experienced players, the double-game board switches easily between chess and checkers. It performs well at home, in classrooms, on camping trips, or in waiting rooms thanks to its portable yet classy construction.

• Dual-game functionality: chess and checkers on one board
• Appropriate for kids, teens, and adults learning strategy
• Travel-friendly for vacations, libraries, and outdoor use

Who is this for: The MerryPony wooden magnetic set suits players who want a stylish, travel-ready board that balances traditional craftsmanship with practical features. It’s ideal for families, students, club players, and anyone looking for a durable portable set for both casual and focused play.
