Melissa & Doug Scoop and Stack Ice Cream Playset — Wooden Magnetic Set, 4 Flavors & Storage Tub

The Melissa & Doug Scoop and Stack Ice Cream Playset is a magnetic wooden pretend-play set that lets children scoop, stack, and serve four colorful ice cream flavors on wooden cones for open-ended role play and fine-motor practice.

This compact playset brings an ice-cream-parlor experience to preschool playrooms and kitchens. Designed with a satisfying click-and-release magnetic scooper, four magnetic scoops, two wooden cones, and a storage tub, the set supports independent and cooperative play while keeping pieces tidy for easy cleanup. The durable wooden pieces are FSC-certified, and the tactile mechanics encourage hands-on exploration rather than screen time.

How does the scooper work and what makes it satisfying for kids?

The scooper uses a simple magnetic mechanism that lifts each wooden scoop when aligned and drops it again with a lever press, giving a clear mechanical feedback kids enjoy. That audible and tactile “click” helps children understand cause and effect while they practice hand coordination.

• Magnetic pickup that secures each wooden scoop before stacking
• Lever release for an easy, repeatable serve action
• Durable wooden handle sized for small hands

What learning benefits does this toy offer during playtime?

Beyond pretend play, scooping and stacking supports fine-motor control, bilateral hand use, and early counting skills. Role-playing an ice-cream server helps build language, sequencing, and social turn-taking during shared play sessions.

• Practices pincer grip and wrist control when scooping and stacking
• Encourages counting and color recognition with four distinct flavors
• Promotes storytelling and cooperative play in small groups

What exactly is included and how do pieces store?

The set contains four magnetic ice-cream scoops in classic flavors, two wooden cones, a magnetic scooper, and a sturdy storage tub sized to hold all parts between playtimes. The tub keeps pieces together for organized storage and easier cleanup after pretend-service sessions.

• Four wooden scoops: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, mint chip
• Two wooden cones and one magnetic scooper
• Sturdy storage tub that doubles as display during play

How durable and safe is this playset for preschoolers?

Pieces are crafted from finished wood and designed to tolerate repeated play, gentle drops, and frequent handling. The size and construction of each part align with recommended safety guidelines for ages 3 and up; always supervise younger children during use.

• FSC-certified wood construction for durability
• Rounded edges and child-sized proportions
• Magnetic elements enclosed to reduce small-part exposure
