MAV AquaDoc Pool & Spa Stain and Scale Remover — 64oz concentrate, metal chelation & scale control

AquaDoc Pool & Spa Stain and Scale Remover is a 64oz treatment that reduces metal stains and mineral scale in hot tubs and pools while remaining compatible with chlorine and bromine systems.

If you want clearer water and fewer surface stains without replacing equipment or draining your spa, this concentrated formula from MAV AquaDoc targets calcium, iron, copper and rust buildup. Designed for both inground pools and portable hot tubs, the solution works as a water softener and descaler to minimize chalky deposits and visible discoloration, helping routine maintenance run smoother.

How does this product reduce stains and scale in my hot tub or pool?

The formula chelates and disperses metal ions and binds calcium deposits, which helps lift existing stains and prevents fresh buildup from adhering to surfaces. Regular dosing keeps metals in suspension so they can be removed by filtration or removed during partial water changes.

• Targets metals: iron, copper and trace metals that cause discoloration.
• Controls calcium hardness to limit chalky scale formation.
• Helps existing stains release from plaster, vinyl and acrylic finishes.
• Works over time with filtration to clear treated particles from the system.

Is it safe to use with my chlorine or bromine sanitizer?

Yes — AquaDoc’s stain and scale remover is formulated to be compatible with both chlorine and bromine sanitation programs. It will not interfere with routine sanitizer levels when used as directed, allowing you to maintain normal disinfection while treating metals and scale.

• Suitable for pools and spas using chlorine or bromine.
• Can be added without major changes to standard maintenance routines.
• Supports clearer water while sanitation continues to protect against contaminants.

How often should I use the 64oz bottle to see results?

Frequency depends on water condition and metal content: initial treatments may be weekly until stains and scale diminish, then monthly for prevention. For best results, follow label dosing and combine treatment with regular filtration and water balance checks.

• Initial period: more frequent dosing to remove existing stains.
• Maintenance: periodic dosing to prevent new metal or calcium buildup.
• Combine with testing for pH, alkalinity and calcium hardness for optimal effect.

Will this harm pool finishes, equipment or liners?

When used according to directions, AquaDoc is formulated to be safe on common pool and spa surfaces and equipment. It is intended to reduce deposits that can otherwise cause corrosion or surface blemishes, but always test on a small area if you have delicate materials or follow manufacturer guidance for specialty finishes.

• Safe for plaster, concrete, fiberglass, acrylic and vinyl surfaces when used properly.
• Helps reduce deposits that may prematurely wear heaters or pumps.
• Avoid over-dosing and follow label instructions for best protection of equipment.
