Maurten Gel 160 Energy Gel 12-Pack — 65g pouches, 40g carbs, patented hydrogel for stomach-friendly, preservative-free endurance f

Maurten Gel 160 is a high-energy endurance fuel delivering 40 grams of carbohydrates in a stomach-friendly hydrogel formula designed for long-distance athletes.

Maurten Gel 160 packs concentrated, clean carbohydrates into a single 65 g serving that’s engineered for long training sessions, marathon racing, and multi-hour rides. Its patented hydrogel system helps carbohydrates pass through the stomach more comfortably for many athletes, while the preservative-free recipe keeps the ingredient list simple. This product comes as a 12-pack of ready-to-use gel pouches, perfect for race kits or weeklong training blocks.

How does Gel 160 provide more energy than standard gels?

Each 65 g pouch contains 40 g of carbohydrates, giving you a larger dose of fuel per serving compared with many conventional gels. That higher carbohydrate concentration helps athletes meet hourly fueling targets with fewer interruptions and less packaging waste.

• 40 g carbs per serving for extended endurance demands
• One pouch can replace multiple lower-dose gels
• Concentrated formula helps maintain steady energy supply

Will the hydrogel reduce stomach issues during long efforts?

Maurten’s patented hydrogel technology is designed to form a gel in the stomach, allowing carbohydrates to be transported efficiently to the intestine where they are absorbed. Many athletes report fewer gastrointestinal complaints compared with conventional carbohydrate sources, making it a popular choice on race day.

• Hydrogel helps carbohydrates bypass slow stomach emptying
• Less likelihood of heavy or unsettled stomach sensations
• Suitable for back-to-back hours of fueling during long events

What are the ingredient and storage details I should know?

Gel 160 uses a short, natural ingredient list without artificial flavors or preservatives, emphasizing clean energy for endurance performance. Store pouches at room temperature and keep them between 10–30°C (50–85°F) to maintain consistency and shelf life.

• Preservative-free and made from natural components
• Recommended storage: 10–30°C (50–85°F)
• Packaged as a 12-count box of 65 g pouches for convenience

How should I use Gel 160 during training and racing?

Use one pouch as part of your hourly carbohydrate plan—especially during marathon, cycling, or triathlon efforts—adjusting based on intensity, body size, and tolerance. Practice during training to dial in timing and any complementary hydration needs.

• Plan servings around intensity and duration of exercise
• Test in training before race day to confirm tolerance
• Combine with your regular hydration strategy as needed
