MATRIX Food For Soft Conditioner for Dry & Brittle Hair, 33.8 fl oz — Avocado Oil & Hyaluronic Acid

MATRIX Food For Soft Conditioner is a rich hydrating conditioner formulated with avocado oil and hyaluronic acid to restore moisture, smooth strands, and reduce frizz for dry, brittle hair. This salon-grade conditioner targets dehydration and rough texture by combining emollient avocado oil with moisture-binding hyaluronic acid. The lightweight formula aims to lock in hydration without weighing hair down and is safe for color-treated and damaged hair. It leaves hair softer to the touch, shinier in appearance, and more manageable between washes.

How quickly will I notice softer, less frizzy hair?

Many users report improved softness and smoother feel after the first rinse, with more lasting frizz control when used regularly as part of the Food For Soft system. The formula helps retain moisture for up to 72 hours when paired with complementary products.

• Immediate detangling and smoother cuticle feel after one application
• Up to 72 hours of moisture retention when used in the system
• 7x more moisture and 5x smoother hair versus non-conditioning shampoo in system testing

What ingredients make it effective on dry and brittle hair?

Avocado oil nourishes and softens dry strands, while hyaluronic acid attracts and holds water to help rehydrate hair fibers. Together they reduce porosity and enhance surface shine without adding excess weight.

• Avocado oil: replenishes lipids and softens the hair surface
• Hyaluronic acid: binds moisture and helps sustain hydration over time
• Sulphate-free compatible surfactants when used in the full regimen for gentler care

How should I use this conditioner for best results?

Apply after shampooing, focusing on mid-lengths to ends, leave on briefly, then rinse; for deeper replenishment use the full collection including the Food For Soft Oil. Short leave time prevents buildup while still delivering noticeable hydration and slip for detangling.

• Use after Food For Soft Shampoo while hair is wet
• Apply from mid lengths to ends, leave for one minute, then rinse thoroughly
• Follow with Food For Soft Oil or mask for added smoothing and shine

Will this conditioner affect my color-treated or damaged hair?

The formula is designed to be safe for color-treated hair and to help reduce surface porosity that can make color fade or look dull. Consistent use helps hair look healthier and feel smoother without stripping color or adding stiffness.

• Color-safe formulation suitable for colored and chemically-treated hair
• Helps reduce porosity for improved color vibrancy and shine
• Non-greasy finish keeps hair manageable and soft

This conditioner is well suited to anyone whose hair is dry, brittle, frizzy, or porous and who wants salon-quality hydration at home. It works for all hair types seeking added moisture—especially textured, chemically-treated, or weather-damaged hair—and is a practical choice for people who prefer vegan, professional-strength products. For strongest results, incorporate the Food For Soft shampoo, mask, and finishing oil into your routine to reinforce hydration, manageability, and luminous shine.
