Marine 31 Mildew Stain Remover & Cleaner is a fast-acting spray that lifts mildew and mold stains from vinyl, fiberglass, gelcoat, tile, grout and other surfaces without harsh abrasion.

If you store gear outdoors, spend time on the water, or manage bathrooms and patios, mildew and mold stains show up where moisture gathers. This 16oz formula from Marine 31 is designed to dissolve dark staining and restore surface appearance quickly—often without heavy scrubbing or power-washing. It’s formulated to be safe on many common marine and household materials while remaining effective on stubborn discoloration.

How quickly will Marine 31 remove mildew stains?

The spray works within minutes on most fresh and set-in stains; typical dwell time is 1–3 minutes. For heavier buildup you can agitate briefly with a soft brush or terry cloth and repeat the application if necessary. Rinse thoroughly and dry the surface for best results.

• Quick 1–3 minute contact time on moderate stains
• Agitate with brush or towel for tougher spots
• Repeat once for severe, long-standing stains
• No need for abrasive scrubbing or power washing in many cases

Is it safe to use on boat vinyl and upholstery?

Marine 31 is formulated to remove mildew without dulling, bleaching, or drying out vinyl surfaces. It’s suitable for vinyl seats, canopies, and many other marine materials when used as directed. Always test in an inconspicuous area first on delicate or vintage finishes.

• Safe for vinyl seats and marine upholstery when spot-tested
• Gentle on gelcoat and fiberglass surfaces
• Non-abrasive—reduces risk of surface wear from scrubbing
• Rinse thoroughly after application to protect finishes

Where else around the home can I use this cleaner?

Beyond boats, the formula removes mildew and mold stains from showers, bathroom tile and grout, patio furniture, coolers, and vinyl siding. It’s handy for seasonal deep cleans and spot treatments where moisture causes staining. Follow surface-appropriate test and rinse instructions for best results.

• Bathroom showers, tile, and grout
• Patios, outdoor cushions, and furniture
• Coolers, storage bins, and vinyl equipment
• Vinyl siding and other non-porous household surfaces

What’s the easiest way to use the 16oz spray bottle?

Spray directly on the stained surface, let the product sit for 1–3 minutes, then agitate with a soft brush or terry cloth and rinse. For large areas, work in sections and keep the surface wet long enough for the formula to act. Dry thoroughly to prevent quick reformation of mildew.

• Spray on, wait 1–3 minutes
• Agitate gently with brush or towel
• Rinse completely and dry surface
• Spot test new surfaces before full application
